hehe! you know that when Clare dies, Teresa is going to be soooo pissed at her! you were supposed to live as a human, dammit!!!and Ilena didn't help by giving a total idiot her one and only arm. so stupid. and then gets killed (maybe) by Rafaela because she protected previously mentioned idiot from Ophelia.

Clare is the protagonist and Miria is the deuteragonist of the story. I don't know how they allowed Clare to become a minor character and Miria become the main character but they have mostly destroyed Clare's fan base and has tarnished her reputation of being the main character. Now everyone is cheering for Miria because she took down the organization while Clare is just trapped in a cocoon the whole time . Don't get me wrong, Miria is a awesome character and should be acknowledge as such but same goes for Clare and her role as protagonist of this story . That is what is making me pretty upset not because Miria is being awesome, but the simply fact that Clare is becoming just a faded memory of the series. I hope that Clare get a redemption in the manga and out best Miria because if not, Clare's objective, history, fan-base, and symbolism of a claymore is just going to get forgotten and overwritten by Miria.

After a certain character(coughdamnitYagiwhydidyoukillJeancough) died at Pieta to save her ungrateful ass, Clare just became part of the manga background for me...But then Miria became even more awesome, saved the manga, took over the world(or so I hope this manga to end) and then I was like "Clare who?"
And people dare mock Tabitha for being a "waste of space" while begging for Clare to return and Raki to become a Claymore Rank Minus One so the manga can have its happy ending.*sigh*
And the Older generations will be: "Back in my days, we used to kill yoma armies with one arm tied behind our backs...." (On that note, GO CASSANDRA, show those rookies how it´s done!)

Clare was cute as a child, but then she became bland, and not even getting hand-me-downs from everyone else could save her from becoming a background prop.
Raki... is a waste of space.If they wanted the series to have "a male quota so the fans can hook up Clare with" they could have used either Undine or Rachel! There is all the testosterone this series needs!
Hell, I liked Sid and Galk from Rabona a lot more than Raki. Scratch that, I like DAUF more than Raki( and I HATE Riful´s Boytoy with a passion)
It seems the previous generations were a lot cooler than the current one, starting with Cassandra, Raphaela, Teresa, Irene, Miria, Galatea,the whole Ghost Crew(with a certain exception), Jean, Flora. The current generation is saved by Anastasia, Dietrich, Miata and Clarice.
Yeah, I really warmed to Tabitha when she was angsting and sobbing about being left behind by her girlcrush(not that I´m forgetting when she punched Deneve for badmouthing her future girlfri.. I mean captain).I hope all that devotion will get a chance to payoff in the future.If Yuma and Cynthia had their chances to shine, so should she!

Yeah, but she is a MUCH better protagonist than Clare. And at least her idealism makes up for a believable character flaw(instead of Clare´s so called "stoicism")
I was just kidding when I said I´d ship Clare with either of these two(*big Clare*Jean fan here).I hated Dauf but I kind of pitied him when Priscilla went Mary Sue on his ass and then lost his mind to the Detroyer parasites...until I remembered he almost turned Jean into mincemeat and then I was happy to see karma at work.
Even though Teresa should have a meme all for herself(a la Chuck Norris facts) I believe some of the previous generations weren´t slouches either. I wonder if Yagi would do gaidens for some of the previous number Ones. I´d LOVE to see Raphaela(in my fanon, she turned Teresa from "troublesome brat" to "OhmygoddessessitsTeresa") and lately I´ve warmed up to Cassandra.
Yeah, Galatea is pure awesomeness, but Miria is cool also(even though the poor woman needs a vacation ASAP- all that stress and "because my comrades/Hilda are DEEEEAAAAADDD" attitude mustn´t be good for her health and sanity).
I agree on Teresa being the paragon for all Warriors, but the new generations should get their own cool role models and stuff(e.g. Miata after growing up and getting a bit more,uh,sanity skills and EXP, Miria after getting past her traumas and stress and angst)
Yeah, my first reaction when I saw Yuma was: "awwwww, so adorable" then she got cool, then I was "F***YEAH you go girl".Pretty much the same one I had with Clarice and Miata.

oh man, i loved Dauf and Riful. i was so freaking angry when they died. it was so sad. i was so not happy with that. Riful was just too awesome to die that way. it was horrible.
lols, Teresa would make an awesome meme. she's one of the few characters that can be overpowered and i still love them. hmm, it would be great to get the back stories of more characters. i would be interested in seeing that, definitely. i really like Cassandra. she seemed like a nice person, and even as an AB she was pretty nice. except to Roxanne, of course.
idk, i just never warmed up to Miria. but i would read a manga entirely dedicated to Galatea. of course, sometimes Miria has moments where i like her, but i just feel like Yagi was trying to use her to replace Teresa and there's just no comparison for me. and i also think that few of the new warriors have the same kind of attitude as either Teresa or Irene. they don't seem as jaded even though they know what bs the Org has pulled.

Funny thing is, I hated them for torturing Jean and killing her squad, but I also believed they did not deserve to die like that, just to prove Priscilla was "THE STRONGEST". Is it just me, or all the Abyssal Ones got very,VERY cheap deaths(along with Alicia and Beth)
Exactly! Funny thing is, nobody believes Teresa to be a Mary Sue. Maybe it was the whole "prove this cold and mean woman is a softie inside" process that made us all love her.
I can see that! Something like, fact number 1: "Teresa got bored of her rank, so she demoted herself to rank Number 1" or something like it.
Yeah, Cassandra is awesome both as an AB and as a Claymore, unlike Priscilla, who was likeable only as a Claymore, or Hysteria who was likeable only as an AB.
IMHO, it wasn´t that Yagi was trying to make Miria the next Teresa(he tried to make Claire the next Teresa...and look how it went), but more of a Leader to Clare/Authority Figure/something like that.
A manga about Galatea? Where she gets paired with Flora?(*Prefers Tabitha/Miria to Galatea/Miria*) I´m in!
Maybe Deneve has kind of the same stoicness/aloofness/coldness/seriousness Teresa, Irene, and Raphaela had, but the new generations seem more in touch with their emotions, I think.
I started to love them when they both got weepy during that Agatha fiasco on Rabona. That scene where the are both hugging each other, crying in the rain made me a bit teary eyed

i did always like Riful, and i thought it was sweet how dedicated Dauf was to her.
i think that because Teresa was so cynical and cold it counteracted her over poweredness. she wasn't a Mary Sue because she was cold and could be cruel. but yeah, jokes about her are always funny.
i didn't like Hysteria at all in any form. she was way too cocky, and not in the awesome way that Teresa is too cocky. it was just irritating with her.
i have to disagree. i think that he was trying to make Miria replace Teresa in the readers' hearts. and it's worked for a lot for a lot of people, but i just find her character a little irritating and off putting. i always pair Galatea with Flora. i don't think she and Miria go together at all. Galatea would hate Miria's idealism.
yeah, and Deneve is also the one who has to be the voice of reason. everyone keeps insisting on doing stupid things that Deneve has to try and fix.

You gotta hand it to the guy, he may have been a sadistic bastard, but if you didn´t feel sorry for him when he got possessed by the Destroyer parasites and STILL kept on defending Riful, you have no soul(or are deader than Clare)
Oh well, Miria elicits fandom controversies: people either praise her for being awesome, but not TOO perfect, or people who believe she´s annoying and should have died when she went solo on the Org. She´s a bit like Claire in that matter: you either believe she´s the best thing since Teresa, and pray every night for her triumphant return, or opened the champaigne when she went Blob, and wish she would never come back.
Me?, I hope that, maybe, inside the blob the Old Sisters(Raphaela and Luciela) are being all TERESA WE ARE DISSAPOINT for not being a model mother, getting herself killed in a rookie mistake against "that brat" and took upon themselves to discipline the brat and boing all "girl, you will get grounded for eternity("sigh, kids these days) and presto, If she doesn´t come back, at least she gets some therapy(God knows the girl needs some) Or so it goes in this fan´s fantasy)
I always saw Miria and Galatea in more of a boss/advisor relationship.(But hey, every fandom has its crackpairings) Then again, the poor woman is such a mass of unresolved traumas and stuff it would be hard for anyone else to deal with her,much less get in a relationship with said woman. Good thing she´s got subordinates like Deneve who are more cool headed and practical to counterbalance all that idealism and perfectionism.
Yeah, unlike Teresa and Galatea, who were "cocky-but-awesome", she was "cocky-but-for-the-love-of-God-die-soon".Funny thing, she got better(IMO) when she stopped looking human and went monster on us.
My respect for Deneve went up several notches when she kept everyone else from running to their deaths when Miria got another bout of martyrdrom-syndrome. (Not that I´m frgetting Helen annoying Isley,ISLEY, of all things)

i'm more in the middle with Miria. i think she definitely is lucky that she didn't die at the Org. that was incredibly stupid of her, and i would have thought that she was smarter than that. i lost some respect for her there.
i would be fine if Clare never came back. she is the most boring character in the whole thing (except Raki, of course).
i think of Galatea as they type who would never be able to have a relationship with someone who is so strong willed as Miria. it would be like trying to have two HBIC. Flora is a better match because she's more soft spoken and can balance Galatea's supreme attitude.

You are right, the rebellion against the Org could have gone a bit better planned. If my memory serves me correctly, the Ghosts spent the first chaps after the timeskip helping sporadically teams of Claymores who got into trouble with Yomas and ABs, and spreading the word of the shit the Org was doing, gain allies, instruct said new allies to keep mum about your plan, and then, when all the current generation is on your side !BAM! you storm the HQ, and ta-dah, smoke a cigar and enjoy your success.
(But, sigh, storytelling is all about the DRAMA, the tension, and making stuff harder for your characters)
I believe they should have sticked to that M.O instead of the whole "annoy THREE Abyssal Beings at the same time, divide your forces, backstab your most loyal subordinate, all because your guilt is killing you in the inside"
Good thing this isn´t a seinen series, because the only Warrior from Clare´s generation still alive at this point would be Galatea( only because of her fake identity as a nun)
If Clare doesn´t come back, I´m cool with that. I´m cool with Miria being the current protagonist and all the mess of bringing down the Org and then organizing the survivors(I don´t know what to think about all the Dragonkin mess, if it was done right, I´d welcome it)

Yeah, those two would constantly butt heads: Galatea is quite arrogant and vain( she got better and nicer when she started to live in Rabona) and Miria is very obsessive and a bit of a control-freak. I agree with you, Flora would be a much better option for Galatea. Miria would either be FOREVER ALONE, or with Tabitha, after the latter starts to see Miria without fangirl-vision and see the flawed woman behind the hype.
Am I the only one who believes Cassandra and Roxanne could have been better used as characters if they hadn´t Awakened? Hysteria was just another stepping stone for Miria to really gain Number One skills and prove it, once dead, we just move on and are done with her,adios.
On the other hand, Roxanne was a really, really good villain, as in "Oh, crap, this woman means trouble for the good guys". With her personality, her insanity, her power, her skills...Imagine a much nastier, more powerful Ophelia, zero sob story to make us pity her at the end, plenty of victims to stalk, plenty of techniques to "borrow"(Ifyouknowwhatimean)...
Since all the abyssal ones are all K.O´d, Priscilla is out of comission(Thank Yagi) she should have been built up and developed as a serious threat for the Rebellion, instead of "Oh, let´s Awaken her, and kill her 2, 3 chapters later".
And Cassandra, hoo boy, she was a real golden opportunity. Yeah, it was awesome and satisfying to see her finally get some peace(and a tasty snack to boot), but I thought she had more potential as well. Nt as another one of the "Good Guys" joining Miria and stuff, but more of a Neutral Good,uh, not joining either side, but more of "okey, I help you, if I can kill the bitch who killed my best friend, and then we part ways"(Just an idea, I´d love to see what you think of this possibility)

yeah, they could have done that all better. and for me, storytelling is not about adding drama just for drama;s sake which is what i kind of feel like Yagi did with Miria going to the Org like that.

i think we'll hopefully see more of Cassandra. i mean, Yagi left her alive which probably means she'll come back. that's how he tends to do things. it would have been interesting if she hadn't awakened and had joined Miria, but i like how it turned out in canon.

If Yagi nitroduced them in the story, maybe he´s foreshodowing what will happen after the Org falls, but if he ends the manga with the rebellion, I´m cool.
And maybe she´ll start to see her in a more realistic fashion... and they talk it for a while(Read: after she punches her back and give her a "What the Hell" speech)

Yeah, I´m hoping that too since:
a. there was no bloody death, nor a corpse.
b. Raphaela didn´t seem to be the type to go killing people right and left like Claymore´s two resident psychos. More focused on ending her business with Luciella and then being left alone,much like Irene was before she met Clare, I think.
If Dae had revived Teresa, do you think there would be a plot left after Teresa had shown these newbies how shit was done in the old days? 
But still, she´s an Awakened Being, and so she must routinely go nom on people to sustain herself. If she didn´t go on a killing spree like Priscilla did after she Awoke, then yeah, they should leave her alone. After all, the remaining warriors would have to help the people of the island against the yomas and ABs that are left...but leaving Cass alone unless she starts to mess things up.
Guess readers will have to wait and see how the rebellion ends and how he ties all the loose ends he has left.
