Description
Of course I don't know what God want or not, nor I know his intentions or if he really exist. But in my opinion it's just wrong to discriminate people for their sexuality and it's worse to use religion as an excuse for that!If you don't like homosexuality it's ok. You don't need to be gay nor to have gay friends, but please don't treat homosexual people with less respect than heteros. They are equal human beings like you and me and if you don't understand that, than I'm really sorry for you.
PLEASE READ BEFORE HATE COMMENTING
This is my opinion, if you don't share my point of view you are free to tell and comment your opinion below, but please in a normal and polite way!

It'll be ten years, believe me.
Also, isn't swearing a sin too?
Also, you'll look even dumber in that amount of time
Stop using God's name to justify homophobia
And stop trying to be "holy" by justifying hatred, which is a sin comparable to murder.
Take the stake out of your eye Phairsee.
Homosexuality wasn't in the Bible until the 1800s
Get your facts straight.
Also, grow up.

But still, you will look dumb in ten years time, and theres no excuse for hate.

Basically why Christians view Homosexuality as a sin is because Homosexuals are listening to the wants of their sex than what actually matters...
I.E. homosexuals are putting the want to be with the same gender before what really matters...
Yes... The Church IS making an effort to recognize as people... However they WILL NOT accept a sin that is a sin... And if people continue to do a sin so unrepentantly they WILL NOT glorify what is STILL a SIN...
Now I know what You might be thinking: "But people are BORN GAY... And Christians say god specifically creates everyone how he wants them... If God created someone to be gay why doesn't he want them to BE gay?"
To which I say...
"If God made someone with a love of money... You wouldn't condone them for robbing a bank now would you?"
"Oh but that's not even the same thing!"
"Sin is sin... And a Sin is putting the wants of the flesh or material world before the wants of the spiritual life..." Or that's how Christians see it anyway...
You see there is a VERY specific belief Christians hold... The bigger the hardships you go through and overcome in your life... The better the person you will be... Everyone is born with a list of personal sins that are built into their coding... If a person overcomes that sin... They will be better for it... However if they choose to follow that sin and let it run their life... They won't be better, obviously...
You know I actually find it strange... People will let Tibetan Monks throw away all their worldly connections... And will actually be inspired to follow after them... However when they see a Christian do the same thing... They mock them... and Criticize them...
You will let a Tibetan monk tell you to drop the chains and weights of the physical world's desires... But you won't let a Christian tell you too... When you realize fully that Sex is one of the things a Tibetan Monk would tell you to drop... Which naturally includes the desire of homosexuality...
Really how is that fair?

Western religions force their beliefs on others while eastern religions USUALLY could give a shit if you follow them or not. Christians persecute and punish those who don't do as they say while that monk is fine with you walking away and boning whoever you please as long as you're not hurting anyone.

"Christians persecute and punish those who don't do as they say"
Every single example you are thinking of comes from Homosexuals and Atheists born into Christian families... Families who rightfully punish their children for disrespecting the religion they were born into...
A Christian wouldn't expect an Atheist outsider to change their ways... Which is why they don't try to make them... However they DO expect their CHILDREN to follow in the ways that were taught to them since birth... When they start insulting said religion every chance they get... Then the parents get mad...
"Oh but not all Homosexuals or Atheists disrespect the religion they were born into"... To which I say, yes you are right... In fact if you actually bothered to look it up... You would actually find a number of stories of Homosexuals being loved and respected by their Christian Families... Even though their Families don't agree or "Understand" their beliefs...
Yes you say that there are countless stories of Christian Parents "Cruelly Tormenting" their "Poor" Homosexual children... But you will also find countless stories of said "Poor Mistreated" children acting like complete Idiotic Assholes just to make their Christian Parents look bad... "My Parents, who don't believe my beliefs, won't let me practice said beliefs and be 'Who I am.' So I'm going to kill myself as a Testament for Gay Rights..." Are you actually being serious right now...?
Anyone who kills themselves as a statement or to prove a point... Both the Person's Beliefs and Their Self should be Ignored at Best and Mocked at Worst... Killing yourself to prove a point proves nothing... Period...
"That monk is fine with you walking away and boning whoever you please as long as you're not hurting anyone."
Neither would a Priest or a Minister go after you either... If you're not apart of their "Flock" as we like to call it... They would in fact NOT care what you do with yourself, because they have no right to judge you as you are NOT under their jurisdiction...

I'm gay, and I used to be Catholic, but the death of my grandfather, and the church's position on homosexuality drove me away. I believe in some sort of god, and morals and ethics and compassion, and an afterlife, but who are we to think we know exactly what he wants.
Also, no bullshitting butting-in comments out of nowhere by religious people, and no saying you'll pray for me, other christians on DA. Any attempt of such thing will simply drive me further down the slippery slope to atheism I am already on.

I wont say anything that you don't want to hear, but I couldn't help but see your comment and tell you how sorry I am that that happened to you. Please listen to what I have to say before you "slip" any farther and getting angry at me when there's no need to. But what gets me is how a church that preaches love turns around and preaches against two of the same sex who feel the same love as any man and woman would. I am gay myself and a Catholic like you once were, but I've stayed in my faith because I chose to refuse and block out that particular belief. If you love someone, you LOVE them. And you accept them completely no matter what. I personally think the church has misinterpreted what God thinks of things and has made several people turn away from him because of a misinterpretation. It outrages me this has happened :/
My girlfriend is also a believer but she's a Christian, and she's actually a bit more God-oriented in her life than I am (I go to church every Sunday, she does the same but also does several activities at her church and at home; I do not do that). She too is outraged as I am, but more saddened. Also, I could say she brought me close to him again when I was falling apart from him. But besides that, I love her. I LOVE her very much. I do not lust for her or want her only for sex. Lust and lust for sex are sins, love is not. Love between two men, two women, and a man and woman is NOT sin. Love was what God wanted us all to have and share for everyone else, exactly as he has for us. And love comes in all forms, no matter the gender or skin color.
Long story short, I'd only like to express how sorry I am. I will not try to pressure you into anything or pray for you like you want, but only say that I am very VERY sorry. And I wish the church didn't misinterpret God's thought on homosexuality as they do.

I really like this one. I'm Luthran and actually I was never taught that god would hate homosexuals.
In fact in my hometown there is a pastor who is gay and even married and everybody knows. I really can't see why people would have a problem with him. After all the bible is nothing more than a book written by humans and exergesis are always different.
People who say "god hates gay people" neither know their own religion nor how to work with a text from the bible. And obviously never learned something about bible critic, exergesis, reflection in school.
In the end all that matters is love. Real love can never be sin.

Oh, I forgot one thing. After I read the whole comments. Why do people always suggest that gay love is all about sex??? Actually there are gay couples who don't have any sex at all.
Gay love is not about lust and sex. It is about LOVE.
There are gay people who have sex, there are straight people who have sex, with and without love. But love is not = sex. Sex can just be part of it but doesn't have to.
If sex would be a sin, then I believe all the popes who had sex with whores and boys and all the oh so religious priests who have sex with children are bigger sinners than any gay couples who really love each other could ever be.

No offence meant.
From Christian.
This comic is incorrect in content. God would never do that. But I understand why you did it.
God does not like the 'practice' of homosexual sex, but He does LOVE ALL HIS CHILDREN! And He wants us to LOVE one another. Discrimintaing against anyone is wrong, just as wrong if homosexuals discriminate against any others. We are supposed to love one another. Even if People who believe in God, stand for what He says is correct sexual relationship, they may state it, but they still must also LOVE each other and treat each other in a loving way. Ultimately, none of us can condemn the other (we can condemn and 'action', but not the person), because only God has that authority. Whether we agree or not on certain things, we should all treat each other in a loving way.
All love, peace and blessings.

I'm also Christian, but I find nothing wrong with homosexual love. How are you to know what God wants or does not want? The Word does not completely tell guys everything dude. And humans are the ones that assume what the Word is actually telling them. Right now, you are representing the amount of Christians that are too ignorant to see that God truly loves all his children, not just those that are "sacred" to him.

Hun, you either believe in God & His Word, or you do not. God's Word plainly says unnatural sexual relations of ANY kind is sin, there is no other way to see it. There is nothing wrong with love. The Word DOES tell us everything. If you bothered to really read your Bible, you would see there is no need to 'assume', it is all there, plain and easy to read. Problem is, you want it to say what YOU want it to say. Don't work that way hun. No, actually YOU are representing the WRONG kind of Christianity and are trying to pass of lies, corrupted Scripture, false teachings. You WANT to be ignorant of the truth of Scripture. Did I not say "God does LOVE ALL HIS CHILDREN"? It is even in caps!! ALL God's children are sacred to Him! But God cannot accept those who will not accept Him, His Laws and who refuse to follow Him!
I suggest you read God's Word, as He wrote it! Not how you WANT it to be written!
