The idea ? A Merry-go-round with some creatures from the sea.Why not in a roaring ocean with green waves and crazy clouds 'Γ la Sandoval' ?
Hum... Ok, let's do it.
Some days of work, much fun, not as good as I expected first but I'm quite proud anyway.
Here is "Merry-sail-Round".
I hope you'll enjoy it
Medium : 2H pen, Sennelier black indian ink, Winsor & Newton + Brehat tradition watercolours
Size : 24 x 32 cm (9,45 x 12,6 inches)
Paper : Canson 224 g/mΒ²
Time : 3/4 tries, some hours (maybe 5/6) I'm still slow

I also really like watercolours + indian ink !
I tried some watercolours only but it looks very empty on my drawings...
I have still to work hard to improve :->

I feel you! The ink just adds that touch that fills the painting, to me! Unless you're aiming for a very soft looking painting... but I've seen some watercolor-only paintings that don't necessarily look soft o_o Those are cool aswell. I wish I could paint like that ALSO

Incredibly unique design! The waves are spectacular and have such natural movement. And such an original concept. Really thought-provoking. I especially love the shell and seahorse design.

Yes inspiration is the hardest part and I was glad I finished it but a bit sad I did it too fast.
I went so bad for the inking... I have to work on this, on the colours too...
Some artists like you or Nati or Loputyn have so perfect lines !!!
