Probably my favorite assignment from my drawing II class--our final project was to draw "the animal within", or ourselves as an animal. I didn't really know what sort of animal was within me at first so I went on a rampage asking people, even random strangers, what they thought I was the most like. The synopsis was a large cat...probably about 90% of all I asked said panther. So there you go. I don't really know why I am a panther but apparently I am to some people. It was a total bitch to paint (I'm not exactly the expert with watercolor, especially when painting a primarily black subject with a limited amount of time since this was one of those all-nighter things), but I think it turned out ok in the end.
