I think the last panel sums up the general gist of the Council of Nikaea , right?Yes I'm aware Magnus should be carrying the 'Book of Magnus' but dammit I've come too far now to add it. I also added the 'not that one' after my name on this one as the previous comic has been reposted elsewhere and people seem to get hung up on the name.

Actually, by an odd coincidence the other guy, Magnus, does have a fairly strong (albeit never 100% confirmed) connection to the Blood Ravens.
And the symbol is just the Imperial Aquilla, it's just part of the Imperium's iconography.

I think his arrogance would have been tempered somewhat if the Emperor had been a little more straight with him from the start.

yeah the emperor can be a bit misleading, that's why i think the very last book of the horus heresy series should be the emperors entire life (or at least from the start of the unification wars onwards) from his perspective, though his eyes, that'd be the only real way to understand all his workings, maybe write it like bowdens grey knights
