Description
This is one of a pair of Okinawan Shi-sa (gaurdian dragon-dogs). There is a male and female that sit on either side of the entrances to most folks homes to keep bad spirits out and good spirits in. The female has her mouth closed, and the male has his open. Osamu-ogi-san explained it as "The man is telling the woman to shut up".
