EVENTS

-Open Thoroughbred Flat Race FIELD MAXED OUT, NO MORE ENTRIES, RESERVE THE NEXT OPEN SPOT IF SOMEONE SCRATCHES!
-Open Sprint Quarter Races
-Exotic Breed Races
-American Breed Races

LOCATION

-Lexington, Kentucky USA
-Keeneland racetrack, all races will be run on polytrack surface
-Conditions: Track is fast weather is fair with intermitted clouds and a cool breeze

TECHNICALS

The Events
-Open Thoroughbred flat race will be run last as the main event. Distance is a mile and one-eighth, or nine furlongs over the Keeneland polytrack surface.
-The Quarter horse sprint is four-hundred-forty yards, a little over a quarter of a mile. It will be run right before the Thoroughbred race, or second to last.
-Exotic breed races are open to any racing breed other than Thoroughbreds, Quarter horses or American breeds. Now accepting applications for Akhal-Tekes, Marwaris, Arabians, a mix between any of theses and others. Distance is a marathon endurance style two miles.
-American breed races are to celebrate the great pride in American, particularly Native American, horse breeding. Currently accepting Appaloosas, Paints, any Mustang types or Indian Horses or a mix of these including Appendix horses. Distance is a mile and one sixteenth, or eight and a half furlongs.

The Determination of Winners
-The races will be run on a simulator game I have, non of the horses on the game express any sort of unique markings, most will be the color of your horse but WILL NOT have the same markings or patterns. Same goes for jockey silks.
-After the race is run I will record it and post the video on YouTube for all to see!

RULES

- For the safety of our equine athletes, animals must be older than two but no more than twelve to participate.

- Horses must fit into one of the categories, please ask if you are unsure!

- All entries must be in preferably before the due date.

- All horses and riders must wear appropriate tack and dress: standard racing tack and your stable's silks for all Thoroughbred and Quarter Horses, exotics may be raced under traditional costume or tack if desired, American breeds may be raced under traditional Native American tack and dress, western wear or bareback.

- A pic of your horse is required to compete, no old pics, new entries please. Background must be Keeneland (see example photo) full body pics are not required. If standard tack is required I would like you to use the Paige Stud saddle blanket (pictured above)

- If the entry is not turned in two days before the due date your horse will be SCRATCHED and will not compete in the competition, your spot will then become eligible for someone else to enter. If you change your mind about competing, please let me know!

- A minimal field of three and a maximum field of twenty is required for all races. If you enter a race that does not have enough competitors by the due date the race will be dropped from the program sorry. Vice versa if you wish to enter a race that already has a full field you may reserve the next entry if someone scratches. If you discover this competition late and the races are filled don't be discouraged, many will enter, few will actually compete it seems like. People run out of time, get lazy whatever. Just chack back frequently to see if a spot has opened up

- If I receive enough entries in the exotic or American race I may split them up into breed specific races.

- Race is run on polytrack to make a neutral track for both dirt and turf runners.

- Due date will be extended if needed.

- The more effort and time you spend on your pic the more likely it will be you win the race. Best pic gets to be favorite in the race. But hey longshots win all the time so give it a shot!!!

- Allowance Scale Weights are used for all races: colts/stallions and geldings carry 126 pounds (57.2 kg) fillies and mares will carry 121 pounds (54.9 kg)

- No more than two entries per stable in any category!

-All benefits from gambling, entrance fees, and vendors will go toward research for equine diseases and was to be going to fund new Paige Stud facilities, but now will be focused more toward Rathskeller’s surgery. (pictured above)

-Please follow all rules when making your entry and HAVE FUN!!!

- Placing FIRST in more than one category will win a free (paid by me) three month Premium Membership to DevArt!!!

- Placing first in ANY competition will win a foal from any one of my stallions or mares, a ribbon and a portrait of your horse, painted by ME

- Placing second in any category will get a ribbon and a portrait of your horse from me

-Showing (3rd) in any competition will get a ribbon
