Sort of a continuation of my Ego Trip Dee Dee design [link] I thought I'd do some scenes that might have happened if she'd actually been in the movie.
I think it was probably a good idea they left her out - she would have stolen the show!

I did, and I'm kind of disappointed that Deedee not only had one freaking line but also didn't appear in the future in alter incarnations, so it makes me pretty happy that you drew those versions of her, and to tell you the truth when I saw the art I first thought you were one of artists from the show...

Well, at least it was really funny when she did show up, she made that one line count! Β But yeah, I definitely had to draw her in all those different time periods, Dee Dee would never be left out!

Awesome pic! But I agree that Dee Dee and her older selves would've stole the show. I mean somehow she manages to meet her other selves and they'd face the Mandarks and win while making the Dexters look bad. Or they team up with them. Either way, I still wanted Dee Dees in the final battle.

Wow, extremely awesome, I feel soo sad that we couldn't see the grown up Dee Dee either. If a DVD ever comes out, I hope the include the scenes where she does appear, it would be awesome.
I pretty much agree with your design. I can imagine her completely:
1. "That jerk, I can't believe he'd stoop so low, getting back at me for dumping him by hurting you"
"Don't worry, sis. Even if you ended up with him, I don't think anything would have changed, in fact I would have probably blown him up."
2. "Come and get some!"
"Don't think I'm letting you have all the fun, Dex. Eat laser, toasters!"
"Dee dee, stop getting in my way! Get your own droids!"
3. "Dee Dee, stop taking my hearing device!"

Have you ever thought about doing full comic pages of scenes from Ego Trip including Deedee? Like when the 2 Dexters are on their way to see old Dexter, they encounter Deedee riding a unicorn that's shooting lazer beams at Dexter statues or something like that.

Haha, well when I used to run the DL askblog, there were a few mini comics with ET Dee Dees (and some other drawings like Dee Dee with a monstrous future Koosalagoopagoop).

Having a bit of a nostalgia frenzy, and stumbling upon this fantastic art about one of my favourite show's favorite episode: day made!

On the picture itself...it seems to do each time period justice.
Of course Dee Dee would look after Dexter after Mandark's had his fill of torturing his nemesis for the day. In his industrialised world it hurts Dee Dee as much as the abused ideas - as well as the whippings - hurt Dexter.
And when push comes to shove these two are most certainly unbeatable, even against the Overlord and his machinemen.
Then finally, Lame Brain is in its jar...and things pretty much go back to normal

Yeah, Dee Dee's a free spirit, so even if she was able to avoid Mandark's mind games and such, it would be hard enough on her to see everyone else struggling (especially Dexter, because she really does love him even though she bothers him all the time). If you want to hear some more of my headcanon on this whole Ego Trip semi-AU just note me, it's kind of over-developed lol.

Hey, I was wondering if it'd be okay to work on a oneshot fanfic with your DeeDee. Just Number 1 though. Looking at the image of her plastering up Number 12 struck a cord with my muse. Hope that's okay?

Sure, that'd be great! If you wouldn't mind, I'd be glad if you kept it so a general audience could read it (not too dark or like swearing or anything)...but I imagine that would be kind of hard to do with Dexter's Lab, anyway.

First half is up. Wanted to make it a one-shot but the story started getting long. It's now set up to be a two-shot. Most of it is my own material with a shout out to PPGD thrown in. We get to Dee Dee's transformation into Number 1 next half, but I wanted to give my hand at writing the two of them growing up as well. This is primarily an origin story for Numbers 1 and 12 and the only way I could figure doing that is if I did their childhood first. Admittedly, Dexter got a bit stereotypical of the smart-with-no-friends sect of genius, but I think I managed to work that bit out.
