Sort of a continuation of my Ego Trip Dee Dee design [link] I thought I'd do some scenes that might have happened if she'd actually been in the movie.
I think it was probably a good idea they left her out - she would have stolen the show!

I'm speechless by how you mimic the show's style. And also adding your own bit to it, fancreating without going overboard. xD

So Dexter's Lab has inconsistent character design? I never really noticed that.

Oh yeah, definitely! It changes from Season 1 to 2, and then in the revamp (the 3rd and 4th seasons) the designs are totally different - Ego Trip is sort of in between (Jim Hiro's DL art is more like 3/4, and mine is more like season 2). Then there are lots of little problems that only become apparent when you're trying to specifically match something - like how their house is always changing rooms and stuff.

I'm always confused by the lab's map actually, but now that you speak of it, the house itself is all messed up. Sometimes DeeDee's room is above Dexter's, and since I got the pilot plant (that "Grandpa" episode) in my head since the beginning, there were always some almost-noticed bugs in my mind when watching the show. Oh god.

I think it was a shame that Dee Dee did not appear very much in Ego Trip, especially seeing as she is (or at least I consider her to be) the second most important character.

I agree. In the original series Mandark didn't even appear that much (maybe 8-9 eps? Only about as much as Dee Dee's friends, really), so I think it was kind of weird he got one of 2 starring roles in this movie when main characters like Dee Dee didn't... o_0

this pic amazed me , this should be in the movie, and yes, we would pay more attention on Dee Dee than Dexter, because she makes the show cooler. I feel sorry for the first picture, poor Dexter or number 12
