Description
Bumblebee pollinating deadly nightshade (Atropa belladonna) in our garden in DresdenPart of series "Flower Devils": wiebkerost.com/flower-devils/
Note: This and other photos in this series have been abused by a page called The Poison Diaries, without giving credit or linking to my page. I contacted them at all their social media channels, where they uploaded my photos (Tumblr, Facebook and Instagram), and after several weeks finally received a response, where they apologized formally but they are still using my photos online without my consent!!

Thanks! You can see more photos of bumblebees crawling into the flowers of poisonous plants in my gallery. Interestingly some plants can only be pollinated by bumblebees. E.g. on the Wolfsbane you see how the shape of the flowers adopts to the form of the insect, whereas smaller insects would not be able to reach as deep inside.
