Description
Honey bee among the ruins of the old Minoan Palace in Malia, CreteΒIt felt quite magical to delve into another world between these ancient walls and accompanied by these industrious creatures, which inspired such astounding craftsmanship, asΒ the famous golden bee pendant from the Minoan palace of Malia. It is made of gold and displays extraordinary craftsmanship. Apparently honey bees played an important roll in ancient Cretan civilization, since they featured frequently in Cretan (religious) art and jewelry.
