I'm getting somewhere. YAY. Shaded the wrong layer so I gave up XD

Checkpoint Near Baykal

after about four weeks in the cold weather you arrive to the -only- mandatory checkpoint, and unless you went in groups,
you also had no proper conversations with other human beings xD A team of vets will inspect your horse about it's condition
(if your stable has a privatevet you may have them there and meet up with your team! : D)
Also the rider will have a short doctor visit. The checkpoint has a couple of tents where your rider also can spend a night if they are really exhausted,
the vets and human doctors are all to be found there. Your team also gets a proper meal and can stay for 48 hours before going on.
(some may not get an OK to go right ahead and finish the trail!)

Story:
Siranni and Jose were exhausted as they finally made it to Baykal. After fighting in the snow at Niya even Queen wasn't acting up. Siranni and Jose had both felt the cold and hadn't talked much as they focused on their horses and getting to the checkpoint. As soon as they arrived Phil greeted them happily and looked over the horses with a glance. Once the horses were settled down Jose asked if Phil could check on Allegro. The old mare needed the best care possible to get through this. Even though she seemed fine she was a little more exhausted then usual. Jose asked Siranni to hold Allegro while he held Gustine. He couldn't stand being around his own vet x'D. Phil flirted a bit with Siranni and Jose just scowled as he watched. Siranni ignored the comments and had all her attention on the mare. Gustine was pawing the snow when a little rabbit popped out from under her hooves. Gustine spooked but soon settled down as she sniffed around where the rabbit was.

After the horses had been checked out, Siranni and Jose went for their own food and checkup. Jose wasn't very happy about seeing a doctor but understood the reasons and obliged. Siranni was thrilled with the chance for warm food and social interactions. That and a warm bed.
