That's about right. Pip isn't built to be sturdy like Maria and Miranda. Her whole life before was spent in a pod wired up to a huge processor unit along with a dozen or so tanks like her. Imagine like when Neo wakes up in his pod in The Matrix. Difference is Pip has cybernetic pathways throughout her body so she doesn't need all the jacks and plugs like Neo etc. had.
As a result her muscles and bone structure is somewhat weak currently and she abides by a strict physiotherapy program aided by her crewmates. As I said before she's got compression clothing, muscle tape and strapping over her skinsuit to keep from causing her muscles any major injuries as it adapts to supporting itself and functioning outside of a pod.
