Okay, this picture was drawn SEPCIFICALLY so I could just let my fur do it's thing and see where it's trying to go, cause I have no idea. Alright, not, first thing is, my scanner destroys colours like orange and red. Hates them.Okay, also, if I do switch to this fur style, I will have to completly re-learn shading, and fur directions, and pattern, and transitioning from one colour to another, etc, etc. So realize I'm practically starting anew.
BUT, I think this new fur style has the potential to be pretty damn cool. What do you guys think? Any tips on my fur?

Your fur is excellent. I especially like how even the black paws have a nice sheen to them. The picture overall is ver seductive, so I would think this new style is pretty nice. You should do whatever you want, though; if you go back, that'd be fine.

Wow! This is incredible. I can see great potential in this if you keep at it! Having to start with something new'll also help improve some of your drawing skills. (Not like you need it though

First off, I want to comment on how much I love her eyes!
Okay, now seriously, I love how her fur looks! It looks long and flowy, very cuddlable! Yee! I'm excited to see more colored in this fashion! It's so real looking, the hair is a little iffy, but as you said, this was just for the fur, and I have to give you major props on that!

I think you did a pretty good job with the fur. Very good. I use ref pics of RL animals and then try to transfer that to anthro. I also see what the really great artists(Heather Bruton, Dark Natasha, Monika Livingstone for instance) do and adapt that to my style. This is not always successful

I've tried looking at real life and other artists myself, and found that neither helps much anymore.

Looks amazing! *nods* I like it. *ususally prefers lack of obvious fur in anthros, but it's really nice here*
I'm afraid I can't help you much with fur tips, though I'd mention that the fur along her side (area of the rib cage) makes her seem sort fo boney due to the placement of the darker shades. That may have been the point, I don't know, but it definately gives her a prominent-looking rib cage.
On an entirely different but more anatomical note, but something funky's going on with the arm/hand closest to the left sid eof the paper. I think this wrist is a bit thick...
But I'm being nitpicky.

the fur like this makes it look longer and...you know how when a dog lays down on its side then it stands up; how its fur is all flattened? that kinda what this looks like. so ya i like it, but i also like your other style. ya thats it. use this if you wanna make it longer and it would have been easier to tell the difference if you had set up maybe half and half so you could just look at one picture and see the difference. yeppers. lol. i like it but for little things. ttyl.

Challenge yourself. I like it. Gives a lot of texture. Just watch for any too thick spots of fur. You know, that sort of thing.
