Description
        Jace watched silently as she moved around the room, pacing in her annoyance. She muttered continuously under her breath, one long, jumbled stream. He thought he heard his name in there once or twice, but he couldn't be sure. Then, suddenly, she crossed over to her bed and plopped down ungraciously in the middle of it. She picked up her sketch pad and a pencil- Jace wondered vaguely where they'd been hidden- and began drawing.
        He watched her as she drew, watched as the familiar activity seemed to relax her, until a small smile graced her lips. Then- much too quickly for him- she stopped, lay the sketch pad at the foot of her bed, and leaned back on her pillow to go to sleep. He waited for a few minutes before entering, and then snuck stealthily into her room, closing the door behind him. He grabbed the book off the bed and stared down at it in shock. His face was everywhere on the page. There was a happy Jace, an excited Jace, even a sleeping Jace. Not that he knew how she knew shat he looked like when he slept...
        In every picture she'd captured a different feature and embellished it. Is this how she sees me? He thought as he skimmed back a couple of pages. He froze- the picture he now looked at featured him with angel's wings, standing on top of a building. An angel... she once saw me as an Angel... Jace thought. The picture was dated. Jace peered closely at Clary's small script. There. She'd drawn it on her birthday. Before they'd gotten themselves in so far, before Valentine ruined it for them, she'd seen him as an angel.
        As Jace looked again on Clary's sleeping form, he wondered if she could feel that way about him again. She will... he promised himself as he left. She will...
