Description
This is part of a project I did for Physics in '05. This is supossed to illustrate Newton's 3rd Law of motion: for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. The wings push on the air, the air pushes on the wings, and the dragon is lifted up. 29 framesWhen I sent this to my partner to see, she spent half an hour just staring at it. lol If you've stared at this for an extended period of time without realizing it, raise your hand. *raises hand* (what? just because I made it doesn't mean I can't stare at it... lol. Ok so maybe it was only for like 10 minuts but still...)

*raises hand* I've been staring at it for a long time now... decided to comment. It's cool. ^^ Now whenever I learn about Newton's laws in school though, I'm going to see that. XD I like how the dragon jumps as it brings its wings down, 'tis how I've always imagined their take-off unless they're lazy and just decide to jump off a cliff....
I just scrolled back up to stare at it more... I wonder how long I've been watching it now...

we have fish, I never thought of them as hypnotic but I do sometimes get caught staring at them for like 30 minutes without realizing it. I love fire, too. Makes me wish we used our fireplace.

This is so cool, and it's exactly how I imagined a dragon would get itself off the ground - makes perfect sense for it to leap up to give the wings enough room for the down stroke. The wings alone to get off the ground would cause a problem.
I'm jealous, we never got to do anything like this for science. I could have totally aced a biology project like this (it's my best subject after art).

thanks. I haven't taken any art classes since 5th grade... and now I'm about to finish 11th. I wish I could doodle for a grade, it would help my gpa so much.

-raises hand- Apparently I'm not the only one incorporating dragons into her Science projects. (is doing Dragon genetics for Biology. xP)

I could critique this..I am an animator...and the flow needs to not jump around..it sort of bothers me when it does.
The basic animation is good..the dragon looks ok for a demonstration. just it jumps alot.
that's my opinion though..all in all it looks ok

I see what you mean about the jumpy part. I didn't put much more effort into this than I had to, and we made a 100 so... But thanks, I'll keep the jumpy part in mind for future animations I might do.

I like helping out as much as possible..so just ask if you need to know something about animation. I know alot since I am an animation major. XD
