woah wtf o___O i havnt been updating DA in ages and wtf XD o___O
(yes wtf describes my feeling rite now pretty well o__O)
umm this was like two years ago when only a few of my friends watched me, so the artist comment i wrote was some sort of journal entry thing to share a little rant among my friends.
so if the other person got bashed because of a lil rant of mine 2 years ago im really sorry >_____<
but well, for those who has watched my since ages ago (u probably already know XD) i kept drawing after this and actually got into an art school o_O like, yes, wtf.
my mom was surprisingly indulgent of me, which was, surprising XD
so yah, for those who are like "zomg poor u" im actually quite well rite now. <3 thx for the support though <3

Don't listen to your mother. Parents always think they know what's best for you when it comes to what you want to be in life, and usually, they know nothing. Your artwork isn't shit. This is gorgeous. The colors are amazing.
What is shit is that other picture that won the contest. I don't care who badmouths me...the only reason that crap won is because it shows some tit and nipple. That's it. Honestly, it's a full-grown woman who looks pretty damned deformed, and I doubt the person was trying to draw a chibi/midget.

The artwork that won 1st is good, but your artwork has much more to it, (and nipples make me nervous, lol). In my opinion, you should have won.
Don't let your mom get you down, maybe she's just saying that so you'll try harder. Mom's do that sometimes

That is such an amazingly gorgeous picture, you're definitely really really talented and if anyone else says otherwise then there's something wrong with them. I really like this picture and you shouldn't feel bad at all. It's really a shame that it didn't win, but you've got every reason to be proud of it all the same. I love it

I just love so much about this picture i can't really describe.
But will say my favorite has to be your texturing with the fabric. Her bodice and the lace look like they would feel like silk and lace. It just has that feel about it which is absolutely awesome. I really love this and your other work as well.

First off the detail is amazing. Second of all you sound like a very down to earth kind of person. You have talent, so ignore your mother. I wish you won, your work is remarkable. Better than I could ever draw. I write and just like others who have told you, I scolded myself to tears on my writing. And to push myself better on learning to draw. Don't ever doubt yourself, just encourage yourself! Good luck!

But the image is absolutely beautiful. Wonderful colouring, the sketchiness gives it a relaxed feel to go with her pose. Also, she is gorgeous.
