Well, thank you! I appreciate that! Yes, I used white and black charcoal on this. I really enjoyed doing this piece.

No problem. FFFFFF I hate charcoal myself, actually. I just don't have the patience/skill to have a fine touch and not smear everything else.

Well, charcoal can be tricky at times.. and it does smear, especially if you're rubbing your palm on it unintentionally. But to me, it helps me learn how to progress in art while using different types of mediums. I personally love to paint.. so charcoal isn't my favorite thing to use... but when I do use it, I enjoy it. It's like a new way of learning how to shade. If that makes sense. <<;

Haha, yes, you're right about it helping one progress in their skills. I suppose I've only used it once, for real, and I just never really liked it...But I do love to paint in watercolor, and acrylics are good as well (but difficult).
