As anyone who's been around my gallery for any length of time can tell you, I am in love with the Ocarina of Time. So, in honor of the 3DS release, (ignoring the fact that I don't have a 3DS) I am (maybe) going to draw a random OoT scene everyday up to its American release date, the 19th.And now for a change from the light Young Link images I've been posting. I think this has always been one of my favorite scenes, and I may want to revisit it artistically one day. I had more in mind for it in terms of coloring, but... feh. Some other time. Yay for more simplistic background-type objects!
For the record, it is still the 13th where I am, so the "7" in the title is still accurate.
And yes, that's the Zora tunic. Blue is my favorite color and I didn't change tunics after the Water Temple until it became necessary. Huzzah!

Ocarina of time may not be my favourite Zelda, but I still can't help but to love each of your countdown pics! There's something in them, a passion that can only get into a drawing after hours and and hours of gameplay.

Thank you ^_^ Yeah, probably my favorite Sheik scene as well, because it's the only time Sheik sees some kind of action instead of just showing up to teach you a song, even if it meant getting tossed around by an invisible shadow beast.

welcomes ^U^~ well i saw the comments saying it looks like a back flip but Sheik isn't exactly showing that and is as you said being flung like a ragdoll. Sheik looks like her strength is gone and I don't think she would be able to land on her own two feet. Maybe if you made her hand not grip then it wouldn't look that much of a back flip. Just a thought, ignore it if you like ^^ But still this pic is great

No, thanks for your input. The truth is I really didn't know what to do with the arm(s) XD; I had the fingers splayed in the original sketch but it looked just as flip-y. I think the whole arm probably just needs to be in a different position. I don't know what that position is, but there we go.

This is the scene that leads to Sheik teaching you the Nocturne of Shadow. Bongo Bongo has escaped from the well and is flinging Sheik around like a ragdoll. There's a link to a youtube video of it in one of the previous posts.

Ooh! So s/he is being flung about, not doing a backflip! This makes sense.

Yeah, I tried to make it look less like a flip with the twist in the body and the right foot being semi-flexed instead of pointed. Presumably, a backflip would show the shoulders and hips aligned with the plane of the ground. You can see most of chest front, but the hips are practically profile, so the feet point off to the right instead of towards the ground, which makes no sense if Sheik had executed a backflip.
Buuut if I'd done my job right/better, I wouldn't have to explain myself.
