...Since this makes my third time today trying to submit this piece, I now officially hate DA. DX

This picture started out as a quick, bored doodle during work that spawned into the full watercolor piece you see before you. Really, 'm still not sure how it happened, but I'm not complaining. I like watercolors. Oh, and before anyone else points it out, I didn't have any reference for Kushina's kimono, so I probably screwed it up somehow. It really wouldn't surprise me if I did...

And for the record, the title for this piece comes from Amaterasu the Shinto Goddess of the Sun, NOT Itachi's sharigan technique named after the selfsame goddess. I only named it that because the finished result made me think of Amaterasu. (Really, I was just winging it for this whole picture. )

Oh, and I'd like to tell any art thieves who may be lurking around that If I see this picture on any pages that don't belong to me, I'll take great pleasure in separating your head from your body and sticking it on a spike in my front lawn as a warning to future thieves. I spent to freakin' long on this one to watch someone else take credit for it!
