One of the newer Powers to emerge into the galaxy, the Arians were originally an isolationist nation that fell to revolution, ousting the Old Kingdom (as it was called in their native language) and replacing it with a forwardly republican government headed by a Schaefer (Protector). Though this also caused the Arians to abandon their original isolationist stance and move into colonial expansion, they have largely retained peaceful co-existence with others in the galaxy. This is due to the Arians being weary of taking on any of the more established powers at this point, especially when they are still in a phase of military buildup. That being said however, largely due to their inherently perceived ruthlessness, many believe it is only a matter of time before the Protectorate makes its own hand toward galactic conquest and directly challenges the other powers, evidenced by said military buildup over the past several years. Even the Terran Empire looks on the Arians with bated breath, waiting for the first Arian fleet to launch incursions into foreign territory.
