Description
Yeah, there's nothing like the orignal heroes. No crappy reboot will ever "override" the original series.Heck, there's so many Power Rangers series and the most popular are the first six. Thuy Trang died almost 10 years ago, and she's still the most popular Yellow Ranger by far. R.I.P.; she was the most beautiful Female Power Ranger.
This is only ment to be aimed at the Spider-Man Reboot in truth. The Batman Reboot waited for the right amount of time and was better, which is why this poster doesnt' say "True Marvels and DCs".
Sony is just rebooting Spider-Man because Sony has an ego problem.
Tobey Maguire: Spider-Man
Ben Affleck: Daredevil
Hugh Jackman: Wolverine
Chris Evans: Human Torch
Nicolas Cage: Ghost Rider
Eric Bana (Hulk 2003): Hulk (Edward Norton 2008)
Robert Downey Jr: Iron Man
Chris Hemsworth: Thor
Chris Evans (again): Captain America
Wesley Snipes: Blade
Thomas Jane: Punisher
Stan Lee: Random Guy appearing where many superheroes are seen

Yes Cage as Ghost Rider, have you seen anyone else as Ghost Rider in live action?
Freedom to go where I like, especially if I was here first. Not my fault you're late (this picture is older than your profile), you GTFO.

Yeah, since technically they can be watched at one story, with major chances from one to the other, but basically the 2nd one picks up where the 1st one left off.

Well back in 2008, I read an article that called it "a loose sequel" which I guess means "reboot that can be viewed as a sequel".
Technically it's yeah a reboot. But where the last one left off, him hiding in South America, the other one picks him him still hiding in SA, basic plot of the military searching for him knowing he's the Hulk. And while it doesn't mean anything; many sequels have the movie take place the same number of years since the last movie;
*Jurassic Park does this with all their movies; storywise the movies take place in 1993, 1997, 2001 and 2015 the same years as their movie releases;
*Revenge of the Sith takes place 3 years after Attack of the Clones, The Empire Strikes Back 3 years after A New Hope
*Indiana Jones and TKOTCS taking place 19 years after TLC,
exc,
The Incredible Hulk says specially he's been hiding for five years which is when Hulk came out.

I don't really care about Punisher. Only saw the 2004 movie, it sucked, and never bothered to look into the character farther.
This was back in 2011 when there wasn't as many to choose from. Had to been today, I would have ditched Punisher, Blade and Stan Lee for Ant-Man, Rocket Racoon and Deadpool.

Charlie Cox and Jon Bernthal are much better as Daredevil and the Punisher than the other two. Tobey Maguire also isn't the best Spidey IMO.

Winter-Phantom In reply to Mental-Psycho [2016-03-30 18:15:23 +0000 UTC]
I'm sure Charlie is. I haven't seen the new Daredevil series, but I hear it's good. Punisher, I don't care. The 2004 movie (the only real exposer I had to Punisher) was awful and because of that movie I see Punisher as a villain rather than an anti-hero; thus I've mostly avoided the character all together.
Tobey may not be the best Spider-Man, but definitely the best Peter Parker. Garfield does the cockiness of Spider-Man best and Tobey does the awkward shy kid of Peter best.
I made this poster back in 2011 long before the new Daredevil series. Had I made this poster in 2016 (admitting still would have used Ben Affleck as there's still only one Daredevil movie), I would have said "screw Punisher" and used Ant-Man instead (and also Deadpool instead of Blade), and Rocket Raccoon instead of Stan Lee (nothing against Stan Lee, it's just I used him in this poster to fill in the blank as I had less options in 2011).

Ok cool
I don't really care about the Punisher character that much as my only real exposure to him was the 2004 movie.
According to Emer Prevos; the 2004 movie was the worst thing to represent Punisher; so apparently I've been wrongfully avoiding all the character all these years thanks to one bad movie, lol.

you know the bad reviews come from people ho have to much time reading comics and a strictly against anything new if is not like the comic they read ones. the punisher movie ( 2004 ) was not bad and it even was funny. then they made another reboot that was properly more realistic to what the punisher is but it was strongly brutal and had no soul. i am by my self am a Blade fan ever since i saw the movie at 1998 at the cinema ( was surprised tho know later then blade was originally a wihte guy ) didn't care Wesley snipes made good job as blade. Β i made fan art yesterday from bladeΒ fav.me/d9wdiu6

Ok cool.
It's just when I saw the 2004 movie, it wasn't the lack of comic references that turned me off; as I don't know much about Punisher. It was basically the long pacing of the movie, by the time the movie got to the good parts, I was already completely uninvested.
Blade was a fun movie. I never bothered to see 2 and 3, but Blade 1 was a fun time when I watched it

Yeah, not really. The Amazing Spider-Man sucked as a movie, but The Amazing Spider-Man 2 was just down right piss-awful. Bad pacing, too many plots and so many things rushed.
The original Spider-Man trilogy has so much more heart to it, even Spider-Man 3 compared to The Amazing Spider-Man series. The best of the series being Spider-Man 2, it really goes into the emotional weight of being Spider-Man as whereΒ The Amazing Spider-Man 2 just skips all that to start a fight with the Rhino and not even finish it.
Even critics are saying Spider-Man 2 is the best Spider-Man movie as whereΒ The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is as bad as Spider-Man 3.
π: 0 β©: 1
Winter-Phantom In reply to opinions [2014-05-11 15:48:29 +0000 UTC]
No, the original trilogy went over everything that important as where the reboot just skips to everything without much care. And Garfield's personality is all over the place in the first movie, he's as flip floppy as a Republican. I couldn't find him any harder to relate too. Tobey does a good job giving a personality that is easy to relate to, a shy awkward guy with a good heart.
Spider-Man 2 is by far the best Spider-Man movie, it shows what Spider-Man is really about, trying to be the hero and at the same time wanting to live a normal life, and it goes into that with detail that make up more emotionally invested in Tobey's character. I can truly see Tobey's Spider-Man captures his essence better than Garfield.

Hey, sometimes reboots get right what the original could never figure out. Like The Hulk. I'm not going to pretend the 2008 reboot was perfect, but it was a VAST improvement over the 2003 movie! No funky editing tricks to give people migraines, no pointless dream sequences in the middle of a fight, and no purple pants! Point being; don't judge something just because it's a reboot. And don't let a movie's novelty protect it from criticism; original movies can still be bad.

Winter-Phantom In reply to DisneyThorn92 [2013-12-02 04:12:53 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, I actually liked Hulk 2008 better. But it's not a reboot, but a loose sequel. Loose as it's with new actors and has a different origins; but a sequel as it picks up where 2003 left off; five years later in South America.
I really only made this poster to oppose The Amazing Spider-Man, the other characters on this poster are really just back up, as I lost interest with both Blade and Punisher after watching their first movies and never watched their sequels.

DisneyThorn92 In reply to Winter-Phantom [2013-12-02 12:34:19 +0000 UTC]
Fair enough. I see it as a separate Hulk movie; not quite a remake, as the plots have very little in common, and not quite a sequel.
I'd be more upset at the X-Men reboot that's kind-of sort-of going on.

This one I was only able to fit 12 people, so I picked the main series I could think of, but then I ran out that way, and put Stan Lee in the 12th spot.
I made this poster to help demote the Spider-Man Reboot.

Eric Bana is good, and Edward Norton isn't any better, only thing better about him compared to Eric Bana is his movie. No, Mark Ruffalo was great, a lot of people felt he did such a great job, and the Avengers was the best, better than The Dark Knight Rises, which sucked (sad people died watching such a terrible movie).
Spider-Man 3 wasn't terrible, it was the best for me; 2 epic suits, three epic villains, fight scene from beginning to end, even the Nostalgia Critic admitted he loved Spider-Man 3 (on his top 11 movies he loved that most seem to hate).
And Daredevil was such an epic movie, he's my 2nd favorite hero because of the movie which introduced me to the character, and it gets better with the Director's Cuts.

You're so wrong, the Avengers was 20 times better than The Dark Knight Rises, it's a shamed people died seeing a terrible movie, if dying in a theater wasn't terrible enough, there was a bad movie to go along with it.
*The movie was too dark, the Avengers is more lighthearted and family friendly.
*The Dark Knight Rises is only about one guy, the Avengers has four superheroes, place a bunch of extras, making the character selection more to choose from.
*THE DARK KNIGHT RISES WAS BORING AS HELL! He's a loser after eight years of hiding, and then he goes missing on the other side of the world for the whole movie, when he comes back, Bane dies in such a lame way, and finally he kills himself off, going back into fighting.
*At least the Avengers had good action from beginning to end, and where it doesn't have it, it has good drama and character development, especially with Tony Stark acting like a dumbass (which he becomes even more of in the 10 times lamer than The Last Airbender; Iron Man 3) and with Steve Rogers trying to keep him in line.
*The Dark Knight Rises is even worse than Batman Begins. The only great movie that actually felt like a real vigilante crime fighting Batman of that Trilogy was The Dark Knight, and not even because of Batman, but mostly because of Heath Ledger's performance of Joker.
