Description
This is a piece I did awhile ago for a show. It's mostly watercolor, but there is some gauche and pen and ink as well as some pencil work. I can't photograph anything so alas, the picture I'm posting looks a little off from the original.Related content

interesting drawing...reminds me (somewhat) of something i drew a while back. it's in my gallery if your interested. but i really like this, the blending of the skeleton and the flesh is VERY good, also, i like how you labeled a few things. and the compositing! very intriguing and wonderful. ^^

I really like the fusion between the science of the anatomy to the actual illustration to the lady. Taking a medical illustration to a more interesting and unique level.
I hear you on the photographing too. :[ I can't take an image of my traditional pieces worth a damn.

God's blueprint? I like it a lot! It reminds me a little bit of your Eve series. By the way, you should "like totally" do something Gaiman-inspired. I think your artstyle is very well suited to his stories. Have you read American Gods? It's very, very good.

Yep, American Gods was the very first Gaiman story that I had ever read. Most of the peeps here love Neil Gaiman, but Dustin is absolutely obsessed with his work. He has just about everything the man has ever written.

Lol, Dustin just really doesn't draw anymore. I can only ever get him to when I'm drawing with him. He thinks that if he had continued drawing in high school he might have made an ok artist, but now he thinks that it's too late. I keep trying to convince him that it's never too late.

Of course I love this. I like that you've combined both the anatomical with the anime. You can see the manga influence in it but it also has that correctness found in anatomy books and conservationist texts.

it's lovely, the only thing i'd say to watch is keeping the anatomical pieces in perspective with the non.
but then again, i sort of like the not picture perfectness of the piece.
