Description
This is a piece I did awhile ago for a show. It's mostly watercolor, but there is some gauche and pen and ink as well as some pencil work. I can't photograph anything so alas, the picture I'm posting looks a little off from the original.Related content

Thank you, the colors were inspired by John James Audubons nature watercolors.
I'm guessing that by cutting off the best part you mean her head? I never included a face in the original sketch and for some reason I really thought it looked good that way. Most of the time I start my sketches with the face, so this was a bit of a departure for me.

Wow. This is very impressive to me, not just because of the superior nature of the artwork, but also because I never could remember all the names of the bones in the skeletal structure. If students studied pictures like that instead of those horrific texts, I think there would be a serious jump in biology scores. But anyway, well done.

Lol, I date a molecular biologist. There are hundreds of science books available to me. We actually had to get an apt with two bedrooms because we have so many books. The books got the bigger bedroom too.
I've always loved anatomy though, and I get a lot of my inspiration from old grey's anatomy books.
