Description ATTENTION: THIS ACCOUNT IS NO LONGER ACTIVE! I'VE MOVED ACCOUNTS! GO HERE FOR NEW ART:

I did it!
Here's a little bit about of my input about my influences:

Soraya Saga: The number one inspiration to my art style to this day. She stole my art heart with her work on the characters of Xenogears. The way she uses simplicity to convey detail I admire and her beautiful anatomy.
Kos-mos is one of the best examples. I would have used Ramsus or Krelian. But just look at her dammit.

Masamune Shirow: Mostly for his work in Ghost in the Shell; The visuals, designs like the machinery heavily influenced--notice the image of Motoko I used... This inspired my love of wires, especially connecting bodies to machines.
The female form and clothing designs of Shirow are also great. ;D

Trigun: Let me get to the point. I love Vash the Stampede.
And I really love the long anatomy he has and his outfit, movement, attitude, etc.
I love the story in Trigun, and it helped to push me into thinking of worlds of my own.

FLCL: AGAIN WITH THE WIRES IN THE IMAGE. Ffff.
Ueda's style. I just love how loose and varied it is, yet very recognizable and the manga's art pops so much.
The anime was SO awesomely strange and visually inspiring, like the manga.

Jhonen Vasquez: Where to begin? I got into JV's work from JTHM. Not a classic I can go back to and appreciate anymore without condescension.
However, Jhonen's style stuck with me forever. The sharp, edge and unique build of the faces and anatomy, and the delivery of angles... very big influence.
Also I want to bring up Invader Zim: There we go with the wires and machines again. Plus, GREEN, BLACK AND PURPLE Fff.

Silent Hill: The real fucking original Pyramid Head, the one I respect. When I was a kid, the first time I played Silent Hill I was honestly scared out of my skin, and I couldn't stop playing... AND I LOVED IT. I remember playing the demo of Silent Hill on OPSM demo disc. And I needed more. The entire series is wonderful, disturbing and beautiful in a dark way. I think SH gave me a blood fetish or something. Oops I wasn't going to say that.
I love how all the characters are so troubled, some really fucked up, others just stuck in the twisted world of another's. I love that kind of stuff. The different elements and delivery of each game keep me loving and playing this series over and over. SH really gives me the inspiration to draw darker art, and the darker things I love.

Tetsuya Nomura: I've always looked up to Nomura's style. I love his concepts. I love his anatomy, color and faces.
I chose this image because VINCENT!!! and hell, this is the epitome of what I love about Nomura's art.

Ross Campbell: I have to admit, I have yet to get his comics, but I will so don't bother telling me about it or that I should. I love his art. There's something so appealing about his curvy, goth ladies that I wish I could see more in the mainstream. I love his dark unique delivery, the characters feel very real while maintaining their comic feel. His style is very influencing, and his attention to detail seems to reflect my own interests.

Mike Patton: A man with more eclectic musical abilities than I can keep up with. I love this man's voice so much, and he has such a passion for his music. This man can sing with a respirator and sounds just as good live as studio. I also love his attitude and spunk.
Notice how I positioned him looking right at Motoko ass! Hahah.

Aesop Rock: A very big influence on my art. I think Aesop Rock inspired me to say fuck everything out there, I'm just going to draw from my head and stop trying to make everything perfect. Yeah I always find something I don't like, but every piece is a step I build myself up.
Aesop's lyrics are built from metaphors and art in themselves.
He writes what he has in his head, arranges it, and puts feeling to it. His has such vision often with triple meanings and it's like every time I listen to his music, I find new meanings. And it inspires me more and more.
Also, thank you Aes for bringing me back to hip-hop. Albeit a very intellegent, thought-provoking "math" hip-hop.

El-P: THIS MAN. Good god, his passion and deep lyrics. I always hear his perseverance in his voice.
He has some very dark and pessimistic visuals in his lyrics, combined with a hurt and damaged delivery in vocals that I can just is contributed by experience. I feel the meaning in his work with every word, and his producing skills are superb. Even if you don't like hip hop or rap, give him a try. The wordings from songs like "Smithereens" and "Deep Space 9mm" always give me great visuals for my art. His music IS art. I wish I had more to say, but you really have to hear him for yourself.

Marilyn Manson: Because I have no better person or icon to display my love of goth glam. Here you go, Manson.
Originally I wasn't a big fan, but his music is so addictive and passionate I have to admit.
Manson's smooth and streamline sound and ability to pull me into the visions of his words are a great influence to me.
And no matter how old I get, I'm going to love the fashion and feel of goth glam.

Harajuku: Another style I will always love. So bold, colorful and crazy! Although I don't think about it much and it may not show, I am very influenced by the Harajuku style and it's flair. What I love most about it is I feel like I could integrate it with most style and my characters, whether small or large amount.

Crunkcore: I think I put this here to lol. But let me also say if you're going to accuse someone of buying all their clothes from Hot Topic, make sure they look like this and not goth. This is pretty much what sells there now.
I do like it though. Much like Harajuku I love the bold and colorful bits, not to mention it's urban and hip-hop influences obviously. Which I was going to put, but this is more the style shown in my art when I do go for the urban look.

Mother/EarthBound Series: I have so many influences from old school RPG games, but this is the biggest. I love the worlds of the Mother series, the characters, and that strangely overbearing sense of continuous struggle with a slight hint of despair. Don't get me wrong, this game is filled with fun and humor, it's heart-warming and at times peaceful, but my art influence thrives on that "pessimistic yet persevering, overcoming, yearning for innocence and damaged, thought-provoking" feeling equal to something you'd find in a Pink Floyd Song.. Pink Floyd might be here had I spent more time on this thing, but you get my point.
EarthBound was the first time I ever felt disturbed. Not creeped out or disgusted. But disturbed. I had yet to experience it as a child until the battle with Giygas. So thus my image choice.

Cityscapes: I love cityscapes! I wish I had more to say, and was even talented enough to draw my own. I do plan to incorporate them, because they are a good part of what I visualize in my mind. The lights at night, the ethereal look and that drifting feeling my soul gets just seeing them is amazing. I often imagine free fall and flight around them, and it's beautiful.
