I love the setting as much as anything. It's amazing how you get the light to look right on the different pieces.

the light is the tricky part most of the time .. so it requires painting or shading many times ..

The song was in her mind. The song was in the wind. She danced as only the young can do, carefree and with complete abandon. The wind mother wrap around the child with a cooling, comforting breeze and the child danced faster in her glory.
The girl's mind went to the place of the gods, of the spirits that were her ancestors when she danced. They sang the music that ran through the wind, they taught her the steps that caused her to fly above all things mortal. She was the child of their hearts, of their youth, the child of all their hopes. They were her teachers, her mothers, her fathers...brothers and sisters. A family of many, a family that culminated in her, the child that heard the music on the wind and danced until she flew.

I see what you mean now about the feet but I really don't think you could have done any better, it's such a precious piece, the background and everything, so much like a painting!
