Description You have no idea what I had to go through to get this picture enlarged and printed to hang on my wall. Next time, I'm ordering my prints online.

You also may think that this took me a long time to make. Well, you'd be wrong- it only took a couple of days. I guess I can make things pretty quickly if I put my mind to it and have the motivation.

Only room for eight bodies (the poster being 16 x 20 in/40.64 x 50.8 cm) . Hopefully I'll make another pic/potential poster that includes more.

FRONT (from Left to Right)

  • Tracer
  • Gareth (Gar) and Snakey
  • Navy

BACK (from Left to Right):

  • Darkrope (brother of Tracer)
  • Zachary/Zig-Zag (brother of Gar)
  • Dagger (brother of Gar) Β Β
  • Jennifer (sister of Gar)
  • Stalks

I also noticed that the two "antennae" on Navy's head have a different look to them. They are more flat. They look like that they could be his ears, even though they aren't, lol.

I did say in the description that it did only take me a couple of days.Β

But you'd be partly right, I spent a good long while in front of my computer making this.

This looks amazing Eric!

When I see Zig-Zag it flashes me back to when I still had Hayley and all that, it makes me smile and makes me shudder at the same time. XD

Katsumi-Kin In reply to wisp2007 [2013-12-19 23:10:08 +0000 UTC]

Well I shuddered because I remembered that I really wasn't the most creative person back then, but i still have some really good memories too.

Hayley was my first Sonic character, and pairing her with Zig-Zag was the first time I have ever paired one of my characters with someone else's. I could never forget that.

wisp2007 In reply to Sycotei-B [2013-12-18 22:00:28 +0000 UTC]

I just went to my local drugstore with the file on a CD and ordered a 16x20 print. It's not easy though, nor is it cheap. Not the way I did it; I'm researching better (and less wallet- draining) ways.

wisp2007 In reply to Sycotei-B [2013-12-18 22:40:22 +0000 UTC]

Why? Are you thinking of selling multiple prints off or something?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Sycotei-B In reply to wisp2007 [2013-12-19 00:21:40 +0000 UTC]

Well, if I want to be a freelance artist, that's something that I should know about.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

wisp2007 In reply to Sycotei-B [2013-12-19 00:26:02 +0000 UTC]

Well, if you're looking to sell multiple prints, don't get them from the drugstore.

It's way to expensive to order fifty prints off of something from there, plus the services for the drugstore aren't really meant for bulk. What I'd suggest is tracking down artists who have ordered prints in bulk and asking them where they ordered from. Chances are they used a dedicated printing service.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Sycotei-B In reply to wisp2007 [2013-12-19 02:23:32 +0000 UTC]

I didn't even think drugstores had that kind of service. But if you had that much trouble with it, it can't be worth it.

That's probably the best way to go.

BTW, what kind of resolution/size did you use?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

wisp2007 In reply to Sycotei-B [2013-12-19 02:26:55 +0000 UTC]

300 dpi

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Sycotei-B In reply to wisp2007 [2013-12-19 04:49:39 +0000 UTC]

That's what I have mine set to. I do wonder however, about the typical scale to work with. I usually keep mine under 2000x2000 (which isn't even 3 inches). I imagine to make an actual print out of a digital image, you would have to work at the scale of the paper you intend to print on. For me, the problem is that means more data-storage to my flash drive and it takes longer to save my work...

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

wisp2007 In reply to Sycotei-B [2013-12-19 17:54:12 +0000 UTC]

Well, you don't necessarily HAVE to work at the scale of the paper you intend to print on; I personally created the sketches at a more comfortable resolution, pasted them into a 16x20 document in Photoshop, and inked over that in SAI.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Sycotei-B In reply to wisp2007 [2013-12-19 21:40:46 +0000 UTC]

I see. Do you still use SAI for the sketches?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

wisp2007 In reply to Sycotei-B [2013-12-19 23:32:29 +0000 UTC]

Not anymore. I found that I can sketch easier in Photoshop than in SAI.

Sycotei-B In reply to wisp2007 [2013-12-20 02:39:32 +0000 UTC]

I used to, I mainly use SAI now for most everything. There was a sample software of Sketchbook that I used to sketch, but as I recall, there were issues with using Layers.
