Description
polychromaticdragon requested some MLG Peridot, and after having her explain what MLG is I started working on this lol. I know it’s not exactly mountain dew addled Peridot screaming into a headset, but you know me- any excuse to draw pokemon
Peridot blows Pearl’s holo clones out of the water
I spend more time on this than it appears T^T
looking for copic help/advice/critique if you have any to give, especially on sketching with copics/liners

I am now absolutely certain Pearls and Peridots (going by the idea that the two are likely mass produced) on their off time (if the had any and if they had such a game), would reenact their Pokemon battles via holograms, and they might even hold tournaments.
In addition to the standard scoring of elimination, Peridots would have secondary ranking based on who could most succesfully recreate a move in a specific way, as in, there is a standard a flame thrower or razor leaf attack is supposed to look like, and you are scored on how closely yours matches the standard. The opponent is of course, also scored on how their pokemon act when injured "did your Snorlax stumble the right way when hit with confusion?" Meanwhile, Pearls score each other based on how inspired or visually appealing the attack looked, and how unique their Pokemon's response is, and how well the hologram "stays in character" in subsequent events, such as not going from hyper aggressive to soft and cuddly in mannerisms, even if the strategy of moves themselves change, though subtle differences are expected, as they are meant to appear to be alive, and thus respond slightly differently each time.
