Description
A remake of my take on the meta-game joke "as long as I don't move, the poison won't hurt you" I saw this picture, and felt that it was sadly romantic, so I replaced ash and pikachu with me and my gardevoir (Haru). What do you think?Related content

Aww, I had this kind of instance in a pokemon game once when I was a kid. I had a pikachu, and I was nowhere near a poke-center and if I moved one more time, he would have died. I thought he was the cutest thing and I cried every time my pokemon fainted. It was a good half hour before I just turned off the game, then I had to do so much in the game again, but I didn't care, so long as my pikachu was fine. Aww, good times (^^).

It's such a sad feeling right? I was lucky enough to never actually have it happen to my precious Haru, however I did cause some injury to myself when I got through Dark Cave in Red and one of my favourites -I think Wartortle- got beaten just before getting to Lavender, I was so annoyed >.<

X3 Yeah, sometimes the oldest games can give you the biggest headaches in their days. Well, I rarely play any Pokemon games these days, but pictures like these sure bring back memories. Good times. Btw, the text at the bottom of your comments, under the "--" thing, how do you get them there? I was thinking of doing the same thing, but I don't know how to do it.

Wow, that was quick! You work fast, indeed, my friend. Yes, it's as lovely as ever, and I really like what you did with the cursive writing up there. However, it strikes me again that your expressions could use some work. The expression on the male is not so bad. His eyes don't seem to be expressing much emotion, but that could be appropriate, implying that he was trying to be strong and restrain emotions, only to have his tears betray him. The gardevoir's expression, however, doesn't really work. The blush and the wry shape of her mouth give more of an impression of awkwardness than tenderness.
Now, it seems that you tend to omit eyebrows in your drawings, which I suspect is partially out of a stylistic choice. I'm also of the opinion that gardevoirs don't have eyebrows, but nevertheless it presents a problem as they are indespensable for conveying emotion. If you omit the eyebrow, then at least consider the way the brow and cheek move to deform the eye. I employed such a technique here, with my gardevoir: [link] Even if you were to isolate the eye in that picture, you could still tell that it's meant to convey an emotion like sorrow, humiliation, fear, pain, or in that case, desperate pleading. Try expressing the emotion you wish to convey on your own face first, then observe how your face moves. I'm sure it will improve your work significantly.

Eight tries, you say? Well, just keep on trying. I'm sure you'll get the hang of it sooner or later.
