This is Lingard's (newly redesigned!) monster form, Goetia.

Goetia is the first monster reference I've published, but the most recently designed, so that's nifty. I struggled a long time with finding a good mixture of human and spider and monster to give him the vibe I wanted. Something unnerving but not evil or malicious looking As a reminder none of the Cryptids have genitalia, but Lin/Goetia identifies as male (and has male genitalia in human form).

- Like all my Cryptids, his human body will fall apart and reveal his monster form if it has sustained too much damage.

- Not based off of any specific spider, though I took inspiration from jumping spiders and tarantulas. Can jump great distances and is pretty fast for a creature his size.

- He's the only creature of his kind, no one really knows what he is. Prowled the jungles of South America longer than he cares to admit; doesn't have much to say about his origins other than living feral until Roman found him.

- Cannot spin webs.

- Has necrotic venom that is fast acting and incurable bar amputation.

- Has no known method of killing; he is considered the only "true" immortal. Unlike most Cryptids he is resilient to fire, a trait he and the Darkspawn share.

- Only true weakness is his fear of wasps. Buzzing noises or, say, helicopter blades will cause him to briefly panic and/or hesitate. He has better control of this in his human form, but as Goetia he is more prone to primal instinct.

- He also refuses to fight unless absolutely necessary; he finds himself to be on unequal ground with his opponents, and will only attack if the threat extends to other people. As such he will resist turning into his monster form when taking damage.

- One of the strongest Cryptids in existence, is only surpassed by Health and Aggression Darkspawn (i.e. Roman).
