I've been using Opera for YEARS. I started using it on Windows XP, then 7 and finally, OS X. I've never had a problem with it. I just miss the customizable options I had with the windows versions, where you could add skins, change buttons, so on and so forth.
Better than Chrome, Safari, etc. In my opinion ( which is subjective ), anyway.

I started using Opera when YouTube started playing up on Chrome.

Opera saved me when i got a nasty virus on my computer that was targeting both Internet explorer and Google chrome to spam me with sites that would give me viruses

Personally, Opera is a pretty damn good web browser. I use that, and CometBird (a better version of Firefox). I use them both all the time.

Oh that, well I just use Opera and Google Chrome. Opera for about 75% and Chrome for about the rest. CometBird just runs smoother than Firefox on some ocassions.
