Finally got Gleaming Hearts reference sheet done.
Basic Info

Nickname: Gleam

Best Friend: Billet- Doux (Bill-e-do)

Gleaming Heart the heart throb of Canterlot. Works as a match maker, if he can't find you a special some pony no one will.

Personality: very confident, a bit cocky but when you have his success rate who wouldn't be. Bluntly honest which sometimes comes off as rude but it is necessary for his job. He's a nice(overly-dramatic) guy at heart.
Faults: No idea how to make his own relationship, the mere mention of his own love life causes him to become very timid (Cue the irony horns). Strong jealous type.
In his free time he like to go to the park and pony(people) watch quickly figuring out which of the couples he sees will last and which will not.
Likes: Helping ponies in their love life, when he gets invited to wedding of ponies he paired. Frost Wave
Hates: Golddiggers, ponies with high standards, having to constantly explain he cannot make you fall in love with someone, just find the pony you are meant to be with.
Dream: to be able to play matchmaker to royalty.
How he finds matches: He can see a small flame floating near every pony it is usually a small weak flame but when they get near their special somepony it will start to grow and spark. When you are next to your love, it will start sparking hearts like his cutie mark. Only he can see the flame. moves like that -->

His special talent has caused him a bit of trouble when he had mistaken his flame for Billet-doux's when they first met Frost Wave. He had started pushing for Billet- Doux to be with her saying their flames were really big. By the time he had figured out his mistake Billet-Doux liked Frost Wave but she did not understand his advances and he gave up trying to push the relationship and happily introduced her to Gleam. As much knowledge and experience he has with others love he has no idea how to start his own relationship. He will approach Frost with confidence in his eyes but the minute they make eye contact he will become a stuttering mess he doesn't know what to say, how to approach the situation and gets so frustrated because this is what he is paid everyday to do. He has tried his usual methods from his job but Billet Doux refuses to write him a love letter, saying that it is revenge for messing up his match. So he is taking steps to try to figure out a way into Frost's heart. A bit hard because Frost has no idea what anything he does to her means. He gives her flowers she responds with "But I work in a flower shop why do I need flowers?" He gives her love notes she responds with "Thank you I shall read it later" leaving him and he has noticed she forgets them on the counter only to be stolen by some mischievous twins. He ask he out and she says "but we are already outside?". Despite all this he strides on to figure out a way to woo her.
Gleams Cutie mark story
Gleam never had a problem making friends when he was a foal with his confident attitude and friendly personality ponies just came to him. But he preferred the company of the quiet pink Pegasus of the class Billet Doux. When Billet-Doux helped him win the heart of his school crush he figured everything was looking up for him that was until little flames started flickering before him. He would see them following every pony he would see. He would ask Billet Doux if he could see them but it seemed that he was the only one that could see the flames. So he kept it to himself from then on. He would study them in silence figuring out that his hoof would just go through them when he tried to touch them and that they would sometimes change shape, when he saw his parents together their flame would grow big and start sparking out hearts. He would also see other ponies who would have the same flame with their loved ones. It did not take long to figure out that they were associated with love and he also noticed his flame did not grow when he was around his crush now marefriend and he knew he would have to end it.But he did notice it did grow when she was around another pony from class so when he broke up with her he introduced her to the other pony and when their hearts combined to become one large flame he received his cutiemark.
