Description

I doodled Prism during a break at work and somehow it ended up being several doodles of her and I just had to put them together to make her reference sheet. Look at baby Prism! Such a cutie can't even walk straight. I also needed to show how big she was compared to my other ponies and what that big puff of hair behind her was.
I am just gonna add her bio here as well as I will now use this more.

Name: Prism Heart

Species: Hybrid Spider Pony
Gender: Female
Cutiemark: “Uhh does the symbol on my back count?….my other back”
Location: Leaf’s Flower Shop, lives in attic.
Personality: Prism’s colorful mane is quite inviting but as soon as her legs and piercing stare come into view many ponies run away. She knows she is a bit of a scary sight and constantly tries to make others comfortable around her. Even with every pony she meets running away she refuses to let that bring her down and she strides to be as happy and cheerful as possible. She is quite affectionate and is a big fan of hugs. She is described as a fluffy marshmallow and she wishes for nothing more than to make friends.
Strengths: Tough skin to comments on her appearance, has super knitting/sewing skills. High confidence (which grows thanks to the friends she has made).
Faults: Scared of the dark and spiders (yeah spiders), constantly bottles up emotions, does not understand boundaries and is always in ponies personal space.
Fun Facts: Secretly eats bugs (super embarrassed by it). The two spots/dots on her forehead are her second pair of eyes (usually unfocused on things). She mostly eats food in smoothie form (spider thing). She dances when she sees somepony she likes (spider mating thing).
Special somepony: owned by Yeah its a complicated relationship.

Likes: Weaving webs, dancing, Knitting, climbing, soft things, brushing her mane and body.
Dislikes: Butterflies (they taste bitter), Caffeine (spiders get drunk by it), shedding her shell when she out-grows it.
Job/Daily activities: Helps out at Leaf flower shop by running the cash register but she does not move from behind the counter as it keeps her lower body hidden (she still wears a blanket over it just in case). She also wears sunglasses to cover her eyes. She’s probably not the most useful worker but she gets to talk to other ponies and Leaf and Frost usually handle the floor so it works out. She helps out outside at night where the girls have started night gardening so that Prism is not cooped up in the house all day. When colder weather rolls around she knits blankets, scarves and sweaters to sell.Ponies always ask what material it is since its so soft and she just says she makes it herself. (hair or webs?) All her hair requires daily brushing that takes a while as her spider half requires brushing as well. She redoes her bed of webs everyday as well as cleans up all the old webs in her room.
Backstory/Origin Story:
Prism was made by a very gifted Entomologist who wanted to give the strengths of certain insects to ponies so he carried out secret breeding experiments to create a superior species. Many of his experiments failed to pass the first month of life and he continue to grow more and more frustrated with his failures but with his wife’s constant encouragement he finally got one of his experiments to live past the 2nd stage of growth and was moved to an artificial womb until she was ready to be “born”. He continued to spend more and more time with his new child but this caused his relationship with his wife to become more and more strain. She began to see the foal as a curse on her marriage and grew to hate the “thing” as she called it. Once Prism was born and she took her first clumsy steps the entomologist was filled with such a sense of accomplishment and love that he no longer cared about publishing his work and just wanted to raise his child. But his wife had other ideas, she hated the monster her husband had created and with her husband constantly spending all his time with it she finally snapped and decide she had to get rid of it. It took a while but she had finally found a spell that would help her and at the right time as well because the monster had already started calling her mother. The thought revolted her. Luring the filly away from the lab when her husband was away she cast the spell sealing her in a stone fountain. Her husband was furious at what she had done and packed up to look for a way to release his precious offspring.

Connection to main story line with other OCs *spoils*
The stone fountain has a way to break the curse, by gathering several pearls found in an extinct flower.
This is how she is connected with my other OCs as one of my oc’s (Frost Wave) can make the extinct flower but only when she learns a lesson in friendship will a pearl come out and she needs 19 pearls to release Prism from her prison. (Since Frost Wave was isolated for a long time she is learning of friendship for the first time)

How she got out

In the fountain Prism sat in a dark room. She had no idea what to do or where she was. She sat alone for a long time until a light appeared and she could see somepony. She saw a blue pony talking to a small white fluff ball. She continued to watch as new lights would continue to appear and new ponies appeared all with the blue pony. She finally had a view of the outside world. Until 19 lights were collected and she was free.
