first one of the "Lion's head" series. we went up there yesterday at 3.30am(!!
) to watch the lunar eclipse. it was sooo worth it. ok so to understand this picture, you'd have to understand the guy in it. first of all, he's all that the song says: bold, daring, courageous, (sometimes irresponsible), but living everyday fully. what happened was (haha..this is soo like him), we're all taking pix so he goes: [glares at beacon with one eye] "how would you like to see me do a handstand on that?" [sceptical paws from everyone
]. two hops and he's on the beacon. carefully calculates and fearlessly goes ahead! the beacon is about two meters high and on top of the mountain!! (we had all the tourists' attention). he hates me saying it, but being a chopper pilot, he flew (was co-pilot for) the one in the movie "Blood diamond". i can't help saying it, it's my claim to fame 
..but also it shows the type of guy he is.edits: tweaked sky colour (top).

I saw it! It was amazing!
Here, it started around 10pm. And eclipsed at 11:30ish. My parents told me to come back inside then, but I would run out to the front of the house every once in a while to see when the moon would awaken again.
My last glimpse before going to bed was of the light peeking out the side and the glare of the light made it look like a cross. Awesome- in the true sense of the word.
I know! I tried to make it, but those guys in customs were giving me such a hard time! And then the flight got delayed and by the time we were half-way there, the captian said we didn't have enough fuel so we turned and went back!
Sheesh. What a night.
