Yep. The Chaos Emeralds are Equal to The Infinity Gems in terms of power. So much so that both have the ability to Counteract each other. Although more often than not, The Chaos Emeralds have been shown to actually out match The Infinity Gems. Most likely due to their name, Chaos. Channeling Chaotic Energy like they do, The Emeralds are shown to be immune to The Infinity Gems Powers.

Some of the big brains theorize that the two sets of mystical and powerful gems are somehow related but this is just a theory.
