This scene here is a follow up to This: I Won't Let You Down Aslan. I Know You Won't Sora.

Basically The Guardians believe Sora to be dead and are trying to bring him back via Dragon Balls, where it's revealed he's Not dead but is beyond Shenron's reach to bring to them. Leaving them with an omnious message that he's on a mission and will return to them when the time is right.

On the brightside, Sora's alive. Downside is he's on his own. But he's a capable kid, he'll make it through this trial. Although Sora's adopted parents, Captain America & Black Widow are still worried about him, as is Kairi of course and well, everyone is.
