It isn't always as easy as it is said.

This is my first real time shading. I think i did a good job. I had trouble with the spotlight, and how to make it look as if he wasn't floating in midair.
Yes, I know I could have straightened all the lines, but what would be the point of that? I think the lines add character to the little bot.
This image started out as a sketch, which I will also upload.

I got the idea originally by just doodling one night. In my sketch book (my first one, i am now on 2), I had just a box drawn. I think it was the head. Then I decided it was to be a robot. I drew the body thin because I said to myself "Yah know, all robots (classic ones, that used tape reels) have 2 tape reels on their chests for program. I want to just have one." Yeah, I know the second one is there for rewinding what has been read, but forget that. This design I think looks better. And the eye glow idea, I actually got from a picture of some real robot in a lab that i saw in a book. The rest, kinda from there is the rest. The claws i know are always red, but i thought it would be cool to mix it up.
So yah....
