History:

Roger may or may not be one of the more well known members on Beringo's team, but his story is still another that closely ties to his lead dog's history as well as those of his fellow friends and teammates. As a pup, Roger has known his companions Justin, Hallie, Dakota, and Indiana even as they welcomed their new friend and future lead dog. Just like the others, Roger was present to grow alongside and witness Beringo's rise into the team's lead dog. Roger was there when their master Nash moved them to Beringo's hometown and met his parents and siblings. Roger continued to stay loyal to his teammates even as they almost lost their leader during a run. However, unknown to Roger, Beringo was secretly bonding with a female arctic wolf who saved him during that close first loss. Only Roger's other teammates knew of this secret due to concerns that the former's skeptical view of wolves may lead to Beringo's wolf friend Aniu's existence being leaked... if not, the secret possibly leading to Roger's defection from the team. It is said that eventually Roger would find out about Aniu. But before then, Roger ended up finding his special friend and soon-to-be mate Shanice, just as Indiana and Justin dated their fellow teammates Dakota and Hallie respectively. Roger's relationship with Shanice flourished greatly over time. While much about their pups is not known, at least one of them ended up moving to another town. Along these lines, Roger also became a close figure to Indiana and Justin's pups, namely Max and Molly as they began their life. But in a sad twist of fate, Roger and company lost Beringo one day after a blizzard struck Nome. They laid Beringo to rest, but was forced to leave Nome with their owner following rumors and accusations of neglect towards the now deceased dog. Years later, Roger, Shanice, and team reunited with Max and Molly, meeting Balto the Hero of Nome and hearing his glimpse of his past. It is also during this visit to Roger and company's newer home town that Beringo's team met up with the decendants from fathers from the past who were once rivals to Beringo. Afterwards, Roger, Shanice, and the team continued to live prosperous lives. Some more time later, a grandson of Roger would become a new part the sled team with a member of Balto's family in it, continuing his grandfather's legacy of being a sled dog and being tied closer to Beringo's legacy as well.
