Description
A species of space colonizers called The Rigellians, when they spread across their galaxy, brought along with them a variety of their technologies. Common among those is the fabled Rigellian Recorder: a sentient series of robots who would be sent out by their masters to explore the vastness of space, record their findings (oh, that’s why they are named Recorders! I just got that…) and return to report back. So these things are all over outer space in the Marvel Universe. Often in the employ of other beings and non-Rigellian alien species (they are very fashionable, doncha know).⁣

And that’s what happened here. Recorder RE-404 was lost in space and damaged when found by militant Kree terrorists. Once reprogrammed the Recorder helped the Kree determine which Avengers were most responsible for the downfall of their empire during Operation” Galactic Storm. The recorder calculated that Vision and Wonder Man were the two most at fault for activating the destructive Nega-Bomb that wiped out most of the Kree. So off the Earth they went with a war party. Road trip!⁣

Well, one thing led to another and the Kree were beaten, The Recorder seemed to flip alliances to Iron Man and Force Works and Wonder Man sacrificed himself to save the Earth. For whatever reason Force Works then allowed this weird, voyeuristic space robot to just hang out with them, Like…recording.⁣

Eventually that sort of stupidity paid off, as, after a year of fighting bad guys, it turned out the Recorder was evil all along and behind most of the trouble the team faced in that time. Somehow. ⁣

Anyway, Scarlet Witch aged him into dust with her Hex Powers (holy crap, she can do that?).⁣
