Hey, Vectorinos, it’s time for a little trip to the Great White North. To be honest, Skippy the Undead Intern got really excited about Canada while researching Wolverine online, so now we gotta do THIS. So let’s dig into the predominant Canuck superhero team: ALPHA FLIGHT!⁣⁣⁣

Dr. Walter Langkowski, a brilliant Canadian physicist, decided to do something very dumb. In trying to emulate the powers of The Incredible Hulk (Walt briefly attended grad school with Bruce Banner and never let that crap go, yo), Langkowski exposed himself to massive doses of Gamma Radiation. But instead of turning into a green brute, Walter instead found himself with the ability to turn into a 10 foot tall, orange yeti, and remain as smart as he was before (which was still dumb enough to radiate himself).⁣

Taking the codename Sasquatch (because of course), Langkowski joined Alpha Flight and things were going well. He even dated teammate Aurora. But even in Canada, all good things end. ⁣

Turns out the Gamma Rays didn't give him his Sasquatch-ian powers...he had become the Earthly conduit of the Northen Great Beast, Tanaraq. After being possessed by the elder beast, Walter was slain by Snowbird.⁣

But don't worry, Walter found his way back to the land of the living by having Shaman move his spirit through a series of then-empty bodies. Eventually into a body of a now-dead Snowbird -- where he could not become a white version of Sasquatch, but as a human was a woman. Walter became Wanda for a bit.⁣

Snowbird's spirit eventually transformed Walter back to his original gender and she even gave him his orange-iness back what a pal.⁣
