Description
Possible submission to 's Apo Challenge 15. This week the only variation allowed for the regular transforms was "splits". Can I tell you how hard it was to make something just out of splits?I've tried a couple of things and I'll decide which one to submit any minute now. But in the meantime, I hope you enjoy this. They reminded me of colorful Grecian ruins. Don't know why, but there you go.
Made in Apophysis 7X-2010 (R12) and postwork in Photoshop CS.

I'm surprised you didn't use an FX

I tried it on some, but I never could get something I really liked. I used a juliascope on this one:

I'm not really fond of splits. I just can't seem to make them behave very well.

Thanks so much, Martina. I think so, too.
This challenge was hard. I'm not real fond of splits by themselves, for some reason. We don't play well together. Though they work real well with Elliptic Splits styles. On their own, they're kinda boring. Though I'm sure other people will come up with splits fractals that will blow me away.

Your welcome !...again ..my not so very mathamatical brain can't imaging how you do all of that and even if you explain I will not understand although I get the basic idea that these are done with different mathematical equations. I do like to think I have a good eye when it comes to nice art..so I hope I can expalin it well enough when I enjoy a piece of your artwork

I cannot figure out how to do these with one or two plugins! I wish I could figure them out. Just like the splites /ellpitc? I'm lost!
Gla to see others can achieve this!
Great Job!

Thank you so much! You can copy the params in the Artist's Comment section and paste them directly into Apo and play with them. The key for me to make these work was to put just a small number in the variables for the splits. If they're set to "0" for each, then the splits behave a lot like the linear variation. But I thought I'd at least make some little splits.
I really appreciate the comment and the !!

This is amazing. I simply LOVE the colors! It reminds me of some underground kiddie rave, has a sorta Little Monster (a movie) feel to it.
Awesome + fav.
