Description
If Love is like an open door, then spoofing is slamming it in your face
Funny how I first heard of Frozen back in 2013, it was actually through my mom who thought it was a sequel to Tangled. After searching images online, I could see why she came to that conclusion.
Now it's not uncommon for Disney to 'recycle' models and templates for another film of theirs, it's been done before (and not only by Disney for that matter). But Anna & Rapunzel, Anna and Elsa...But in honesty, I have nothing against it at all. After all, if it's Oscar nominee and Golden Globe winning worthy, hell, we should all be recycling stuff...
BUT LET ME BE CLEAR, I HAVE NOTHING AGAINST DISNEY OR THE FILMS IN QUESTION. I LOVE DISNEY AND ITS FILMS. THIS IS JUST A POLITICAL-STYLE OBSERVATION NOTHING MORE.
Frozen (film & characters) Elsa & Anna © "2013" Chris Buck, Jennifer Lee, Peter Del Vecho & Shane Morris "based: Snow Queen by Hans Christian Andersen" (Walt Disney Pictures & Animation Studios ™ )
Tangled (film & character) Rapunzel © "2010" Nathan Greno, Byron Howard, Dan Fogelman, Roy Conli, John Lasseter, Glen Keane & based off "Rapunzel by Brothers Grimm" (Walt Disney Pictures & Animation Studios ™ )

So the one way to be successful is to recycle your previous works?

That's an outdated Anna design, she certainly changed for the final product, so she's not similar to Rapunzel, I can easily tell their faces apart.

I only noticed that Tangled and Frost main characters have a resemblance, like they are almost the recycled, but didn't noticed on the other Disney's Princesses.

The characters looked the same because they are related. Rapunzel is their cousin and even shows up with Flynn during Frozen although they are not actually mentioned directly, and in Tangled they actually discuss visiting Arendelle.

I have one of those, the physics from the film doesn't match reality.

Actually, I don't remember where I heard this, but if I'm not mistaken, Elsa and Anna's designs were pulled from Tangled and then modified. I think it had something to do with the budget? Or the time constraints that were put on the film. It was supposed to get released in 2014, but when it got pushed to 2013, they had to figure something out quick. As for Kristoff, he clearly came from the rejected, beefy versions of Flynn. Disney doesn't throw anything away, so if they needed to, they could easily go back and draw inspiration from previous films.
Is it recycling? I suppose, but I recently rewatched Tangled, and I didn't even think about Anna once. Maybe in the stills Anna and Rapunzel looks similar, but they really differ in design once animated.

Right here in the bottom left. It's a blink and you'll miss it one when they start opening the gate to the castle and the people come in. You don't see their faces but it's not hard tell it's them.

Though any expert would make an argument that Robin Hood had an excuse, the studio was going through a tough financial problem at the time so they had to cut corners. But yeah, they've been doing that MUCH more before that film and Frozen. Hell, tell me how many times you see the Croc from Peter Pan in various other Disney projects and shorts.

Though it could be said for this criticism is that it became an easy target for people to cry sexism as much as people always attempt to cry racism in any disney film, and even people tried to do that with Frozen as well. It honestly makes you wonder what they REALLY want...
