Description They are my original creations and belong to a science fiction-background world. They have nothing to do with dragons, and have much more in common with mammals or birds.

The "killing" claw on their hands and back legs can only cause punctures in surfaces to aid in climbing.

The tail blade is dull and is only dangerous if the creature willfully swings its tail quickly.

White phases have continued to exist, as these creatures do not hunt live prey.

They are generally slow-moving, and tend to live in forested environments, though most often they move on flat ground.

Notes on some noteworthy elements of their physiology, behavior, and society as a whole.

I don't think they look feline at all, the look like a mixture of postosuchus, wolves, and how I imagine andrewsarchus.
Very cool, I particularly like the old white one.

I have to agree on the narrow jaws though, they seem like high-speed attack jaws or fish-catchers.

The female has a real sense of muscular weight to her, very well drawn. :3

Haha. I'm glad of that. I like the dinosaurian look, to be honest.

Most of the narrow-jawedness was an overzealous attempt to defeline them, but I think I like the wolf/tyrannosaurian look. It makes it seem powerful and doesn't make them seem too sympathetic by appearance. Though you are right, originally the males were made to be speedy attackers.

Thanks. I liked the idea of an avian-sort of base society and structure.

I really like how it's so accurate and detailed. I'm lost when it comes to medical terms and scientific names, but you've really developed them well here. I like the structure of their bodies and the way their facial features are detailed. The elders and the sharks are my favourites.

I love my shark people. I don't know, I think that creatures that are violent, but not evil, are interesting. It's a real shame that people tend to oversimplify carnivores into badguys and herbivores into goodguys (Wait, wouldn't that make humankind evil? Haha). It's such a terrible shame, because both are just looking to survive.

They have more expressions, I just couldn't fit them on the page. The names are just names for their colorations.

I'm going to do one for the shark people as well after I finish this piece of stupid fanart.

Cool. I like the critters, though they do remind me quiet a bit in certain aspects of my own Elders only mine are big lizards without the claws and fur. But very creative *wants one as a pet* X3

Huh. I just used the name because it is very simple, and they are an old, wise, and non-reproducing breed.

Thanks. Without claws?

Heh i guess the names a fave when it comes to old/ ancient creatures. And they don't reproduce? O.O

And when i say they don't have claws i mean the killing claws.

They could theoretically reproduce, but they aren't able to because they are artificially made. Their reproduction is controlled.

They have a very interesting build. It's like a mix of a lion and a reptile.

Crap, I hate lions. I was trying to make it not look like one, but I guess it happened anyways. Damn.

Well, don't hate them, they're just overrated, and have been for the past 2,000 years.

True. Bah, I have no idea how to make a heavy build without it somehow looking feline.

I've been trying to avoid making any feline-like resemblances at all by changing the build and features, but it looks like anything with muscle that isn't extremely fat looks like a feline somehow to other people.

People tend to have an overly positive view of felines compared to other carnivores though. Which is contrary to the impression I would like to make.

Canines are better?
I always see that the opposite way with domestic cats and dogs.

People tend not to like wild dogs. At all. They're the bad guy in every children's movie.

Lions and big cats are always noble.

Lions tend to look a bit arrogant.
But you have a point.

Very thought-out and accurate from a biological viewpoint. What do they eat, then, carrion? With teeth and jaws like those, they look like carrion eaters; it reminds one a lot of a T-rex's set of jaws.

My only critique is that the male's jaw looks almost awkwardly long compared to the female's. He almost looks reminiscient of a fish-eater, as I don't think it's very common for long-muzzled creatures to be carrion eaters (As I've assumed these guys are.) Otherwise, it all looks pretty solid. I like the natural mottled colour scheme; it all fits very well with existing species templates.

Cheers,

They eat carrion, fruit, roots, and fresh shoots. Pretty-much anything. They have cheeks and molars in the back for chewing. The jaw shape allows them to crush bone.

It is true he has a long face, but the thylacine also had extremely strong jaws and was well-able to crush bones, however, it most closely resembled a modern wolf in appearance( Of the head anyways). They were actually designed for fighting, and have to make due with doing other things.
