She's gone! I was sad because I liked her. XD. I may make another one to comfort me in my sadness after I finish my commissions, but she was honestly my favorite.

D: How do you make patterns? Did you just.. make it from your memory or what?
Gosh, that seems really difficult Your amazing if you can do all that!

I usually look at a photo of the animal from different angles and draw it out. The manner of doing the pattern is usually by a mixture of geometrical knowledge, and the animal's form. I used to be an actual sculpture artist, which seems to have helped.

oh hey this is cute!! What other types of animals have you made/will you make?

WolfknightlordJ In reply to KyashaKitsune [2011-09-10 02:17:27 +0000 UTC]
I have a gallery of stuffed animals, though most of the varied species are older commissions. I have mostly worked on whatever I am commissioned to do, and I will probably do that in the future as well. My only thought is that since the Iberian wolf was purchased, I will probably make another one in the future.

Oh, so they don't offer like to buy half a yard or yard?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
WolfknightlordJ In reply to JamJams [2011-09-09 22:27:02 +0000 UTC]
They do, I bought a 1/4th yard, or something like that, but the width of the roll was very small, so it ended up being a relatively small piece of cloth. The 1/2 is probably better.

I really need to learn how to thread sculpt the feet, because I adore the little toys.

It's not too much of a trick, though it will eventually slip and lose shape if you don't go through a few times.
