So I've decided I'm officially ready for spring. To celebrate the occasion, here is my official Coming of Spring piece. I was inspired by finally having seen Narnia last night on DVD, and I especially liked some of the images of winter transitioning to spring in ways that you could really see and marvel at, so I decided to interpret that my own way. This being here is the Bringer of Spring, here modeled after `lockstock , but I wanted her to look as if she were stuck somewhere between winter and spring, hence the icicle-like halo, and the pale coloring in tandem with the new blossoms pouring from her fingertips. I like the idea of a being like this strolling about at night working her magic. It would certainly explain the seemingly sudden manner in which the very first signs of spring eventually appear.
