Read my rant:SasuSaku...ew. I know they look..."good" (as in "looks", only) together--their children would probably have black hair and green eyes (pretty)--but I can't see it becoming cannon.
The SasuSaku supporters are like...like NaruHina supporters--they want the girl to end up with the guy she wants.
Honestly--they're both bad couples. What do you guys expect, for Naruto ans Sasuke to both approach the girls screaming--"I KNOW I'VE ALL BUT IGNORED YOU FOR THE LAST NEARLY 500 CHAPTERS, BUT I JUST WANT YOU TO KNOW THAT I'VE GIVEN UP ON MY DREAMS/AMBITIONS BECAUSE I HAVE COME TO REALIZE MY LIFE IS WITH YOU!"...?
No.
Sakura is more likely to end up with Naruto (though I don't particularly like that couple) just because he is the MAIN character, and the MAIN character ALWAYS gets the girl of his dreams.
In fact, if you look back to the thrid episode/2nd or 3rd chapter, you'll see that Sakura's crush on Sasuke was actually inhanced when NARUTO disguised himself as Sasuke and FLIRTED with her. It's like she fell in love Naruto thinking he was Sasuke.
And if anyone out there says that's "cliche" and that "SasuSaku/NaruHina are true love"...are you serious? The quiet little girl with no back bone ending up with the loud, talkative boy she admires isn't "cliche"? Nor is the bright and sunshiney ball of fluff ending up with the stereotypical "emo brooder" with a shattered soul that can only be healed by "TRUE LOVE"--you're seriously going to tell me THAT isn't cliche?
Fine--support what you want. You can keep reading those fan fictions, and I'll keep watching for all of the tiny bits of SasuNaru that Kishi-sensei always throws into his chapters. Be happy.

I really don't like NaruSaku thanks to the newest chapter (not that I ever liked it to begin with). If Kishi does decide on any pairing, it's going to be SasuNaru, and even if he does have a pairing, it might be an open ending where it is implied that SasuNaru or any other pairing happened.
And as far as I'm concerend, SasuSaku and NaruHina are basically crack pairings.
SasuSaku could never happen, at least not mutual. I still think that Sakura has feelings for Sasuke, thanks to the latest chapter, so that right there should explain some things. Also, Sasuke never liked her as anything more than a teammate, and maybe a friend, and nothing more.
NaruHina... Need that any explination? Sure it's kinda cute, but it just has no possibility. Kishi may have an obsession with plot twists and pairing hints, but he knows when it gets too far. Kishi-nor author-would pair the MAIN character with a SECONDARY, no screen time character who has no backbone. Sure Hinata is sweet, she's too sweet to hate, I just don't think NaruHina has a chance. Naruto knows nothing about her. Just because she said she was in love with him does not mean he's going to end up with her. That doesn't happen unless the girl actually has some affect on the plot.

NaruSaku did kind fail in the last few chapter, yeah. I've always loved Sasu/Naru/Sasu, mainly because its hinted at so much more than any other "possible" pairing within the series.
Hinata and Sakura do not have any kind of chance at getting the guy they want right now, that much is certain. :c
But, yes, Kishimoto will probably hint at Sasuke x Naruto if the series ends without any official pairings being announced.

You know SasuNaru's already partial cannon, right? xD I've seen proof of such all over the place. It's not just in the context, but the art, as well. I've also seen several hinting interviews. As far as I've heard, too, Kishimoto is basing Sasuke off of the guy he had a crush on in high school, and he's said before that most of his personality was given to Naruto.

i agree with everything you just said except the Sasunaru part, mostly because I'm a dude. Narusaku is the only logical pairing, except in later chapters when Hinata actually gets a backbone. I think Sasusaku and Naruhina are so popular, because Naruto is watched by so many girls, that it's unbearable. They want their fellow girls to get what they want regardless of circumstances. Like Sakura still wanting someone who put her unconscious. or Naruto wanting a grl who he doesn't know has a crush on him. I hate fanfics where hinata just all of a sudden acts as though she never was nevous. Or Naruto saying that liking Sakura was just to mask his true feelings. But, yeah, Fan Fics can be very stupid. They'll sometimes even have Hinata beating Naruto the way Sakura does, and have Sakura punching and yelling at Sasuke the way she does with Naruto. Its like they want the pairing only for the people in it, and not the actual relationships the characters have with each other.

I completely agree--when I first started reading Naruto, I wasn't even thinking about pairings; I just wanted action (same with Bleach--I don't pair anyone in that though).
It wasn't until I got up-to-date with the series that I started reading those crazy little doujins and, some how, tripping into the fandom world.
I don't believe any couple (beside Asuma/Kurenai, Minato/Kushina, Fugaku/Mikoto)will ever be canonized....Kishimoto-sensei's probably too scared to anyways.

I also don#t belive, that there will be any pairings cause you mostlyy have 2 or more choices (like naruSaku, NaruHina, SasuSaku, Sasukarin, ShikaIno, ShikaTemari and so on) and by making one pairing official Kishimoto would totally destroy the other fandom and i doubt he'll do that.
I mean sometimes romance is nice and all but for god's sage it#s about the action, not the love

Romance is nice but, like you said, any of the rookie 9, Team Gai, or sand siblings becoming cannon couples would just be asking for trouble.

so true. I hate both SasuSaku and NaruHina fans cuz they are so blind, but I mostly hate NaruHina since there's no proof whatsoever. Naruto barely knows Hinata. I can count the amount of times they've interacted in the show with the fingers on my hands. And SasuSaku was dead the moment Sakura asked Naruto if she looked more womanly in the first episode of Shippuuden.
