Tempest’s egg hatched in a pokemon attraction where they were letting people take pictures with baby pokemon, mainly captured legendaries. The humans had no idea where the parents of the egg were, they just found it in the cold snow near an ocean by Freezington in Galar, but when the time came where the egg hatched they were ecstatic about it being a little hybrid of two legendaries, apparently her parents were a Lugia and a Chien-Pao, no hybrid like herself has been seen before in this area. Well…Little was to put it lightly, Tempest was quite big for a baby, though that’s most likely because of her Lugia genes coming through.

People came all over the world just to see this hybrid so the humans happily exploited it and rarely ever gave her some rest and only ever fed her when guests were paying for it and then it was only ever a bottle of milk. Over the course of five years she grew thin but thanks to her thick fluffy coat no one even suspected anything from the outside. Tempest knew nothing about the outside world besides that when people came to see her she was treated with love so she tried her hardest to put on a show each time and grew to love the sound of clapping.

Though because she was pushing herself so much at such a young age and being starved she fainted during one of the showings which caused an uproar, the guests were upset that the pokemon they paid to have pictures with was just limp on the ground while the keepers were getting angry about their prized money maker just broke. The show was called off for the day and Tempest was left to rest, news got out about this giant baby pokemon that was now broken and that spread like wildfire, to the point it got to a certain hideout.

A few days later in the middle of the night Tempest was awoken to a group of strange small (well to her) pokemon wearing strange clothes. She was familiar with clothes since that usually attracted more humans to herself but these weren’t what humans would call ‘cute’, they were black cloth with a giant red ‘R’ on them. One of the pokemon stepped up to explain what was happening here, it was an Umbreon/Girafarig who had a look in his eyes that screamed out that he knew what was going on here. They quickly took Tempest under the guise of night and headed back to the hideout, Tempest was so scared about leaving everything she knew behind but the group reassured her she wouldn’t have to do something like that again.

It took a little bit to get to the base and when they did Tempest nearly passed out again, she hadn’t been fed in a few days and she was running on empty. The group was shocked and rushed her to the infirmary to get checked out, that’s where they found out she was malnourished and covered in wounds that her fur covered up well. The umbreon hybrid didn’t like this one bit so it decided he would be by her side the whole time. When Tempest woke up she was absolutely scared out of her mind only calming down when she recognized the pokemon beside her bed as to be her rescuer. He introduced himself and the hideout to her when it noticed she was awake, telling her she was safe here and never had to fear being hurt again. While she was healing Anubis stayed by her side and talked about simple things, he was shocked to find out she was only 5 years old so he decided to take care of her.

Over the weeks of healing the so called “Team Rocket” hideout found out she was basically a skitty in a giant body and would go after any red dot or cat toy around. Tempest was nervous at first about the other pokemon around the hideout but Anubis reassured her they were nice so she opened up to them, she also seemed to open up more to one of the lieutenants named Pidge that Anubis was really close to.
