What I thought, I know I thought maybe a sparrow at first, but more of a blackbird beak.

The beak is your best field mark in this shot.  I looked at a couple books.  If I just saw the back I might have thought finch or sparrow.

Yeah, also helps a tad that it was in the same area as the yellow head and red wings were :>
