Hey there! This is my first go at writing an actual official critique, so here we go-

You have an overall good sense of proportion, but a few things are off. The head is too big, as are the ears and nose. The ears need to be more rounded as well. The chest also needs to be a bit deeper and should form more of a straight upwards-sloping line rather than a curved one.

A major pointer is that the back is too short. When drawing wolves use the length of the head (from the nose to jawline) as a reference for the back, as well as the proportions of the limbs and neck. The back is as long as approximately two lengths of the head.
The spine also needs to slope downwards slightly.

The neck is also quite thin for a wolf, and too oddly angled for a natural pose. You need to add some more fur and bulk to it. Wolves have a lot of muscle and fur around their neck as protection against attack from other wolves and the muscle allows them to be strong enough to be hoisting around carcasses as big as moose.
Wolves also carry their heads at the same level as their back most of the time, unless alert or otherwise startled.

As for the limbs, they're very well proportioned and the size of the paws is virtually spot on, considering a great deal of wolf artists give their wolves very big paws (something I actually used to do). The only thing I would recommend changing is making the thighs of the back legs larger and making the distance between the knee and the ankle shorter.

Now, I think that just about wraps it up. It was a pleasure to crit this as seem well on your way to developing your own style and it's even better that you're working on developing your anatomy! Remember to use references when you can.
Also try watching wildlife videos of wolves interacting and running around, and do a series of quick figure sketches from them. The BBC have a lot of good reference films of wolves and figure sketching is an excellent way to improve your anatomy.

Hope I was helpful!

This is one well done wolf e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)"/>

I really like your drawing style, the faces you draw are very cool e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Big Grin)"/> I especially love that big nose, it gives it a nice touch^^

Now for anatomy tips e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Big Grin)"/>

The overall structure of the wolf is nearly perfect, it is well proportioned, well structured, its leg joints are at the same height, so it is okay, and the legs are proportioned to the rest of the body.
I like the fact that you didn't make the wolf extremely skinny (like many artists tend to do), nay, you also contributed to giving it a volume with the shading, so great job^^

The only thing I would consider revising a little, would be the position of the ears. I have the feeling that they are too far ahead and too high with respect to their regular position. But this may be just me XD Oh one more thing on the head: the shape you gave it is nice, but I feel it's missing part of the nape back there. Consequently, the attachment of the neck is lower, and the neck itself appears thinner. But then again, this is your style, so you choose how thick or thin the neck should be e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)"/>
Well, I really hope I could help you! <3

Thank you! To be honest, the ears have always given me trouble. I always somehow place the to high. D:
As for the neck when I was trying to decide a thickness, it looked wierd as thick as a wolves' would be. (which is a bad sign. o^o)
And with the skinniness... haha, I was just sick of making my wolves so skinny as much as I like to. I want to have good anatomy, since I know that's part of being a good artist. ^^
Thank you for the crit!
It's always very helpful.

Awww truly no problems my dear^^ I'm always glad to help you

Yes, I know how you feel, believe me O: Anatomy is something really hard to figure out O_O I'd say the best way to learn is to reference from real life wolves

great title!!!! haha but no really, good job on the picture! I really love your anatomy style, and the shading is great! Also, good work on the transparent background! XP For vision, well 5/5 because its definetley good. Originality, id say 4 stars because the pose isnt original, but i do think your style is VERY orginal. technique, 5 for the cool shading and transparent background. Impact, 3.5. while i like your work, since the pose is sort of unoriginal, (though i understand it was just anatomy practice, but you DID request critique) it doesnt really stand out too much if you dont take the time to look at it. overall, great picture

Thank you! I know the pose is super unoriginal, but I just wanted something simple to work with. XD
