Holy crap this took forever.

Thanks to the entire Kingdom Hearts collection being released on the PS4, my love for this series has been reignited. It also gave me the motivation to do something I've been meaning to for a long time; redo my KH characters as pokemon picture, which is one of the oldest things in my gallery. I think at that time gen 5 had just been released, feels so long ago. Yet every now and then someone will still favorite it and I cringe every time because my art has gotten much better since then.
So have a shiny new version! Now including pokemon up to Gen 7! Though I just realized I somehow ended up having no Gen 3 pokemon on there O_o Some characters have changed, some have stayed the same. I also gave myself a lot more freedom with the color palettes, some use the normal palettes, some use the shiny ones, some are completely unique, and some just have slight variants. Just whatever I felt worked the best for that individual character.

Sora, Flareon - I wanted the main heroes to be similar to each other, flareon's darker body somewhat reminded me of his lion form

Kairi, Sylveon - Fairy type that evolves through love felt fitting for a princess of heart

Riku, Espeon - Decided to make Xion umbreon instead, so I went with my second original choice for Riku keeping with the dusk/dawn theme

Roxas, Jolteon - Yellow spiky fur = yellowish spiky hair. xD For some reason his hair is 1,000,000 times easier to draw than Sora's

Namine, Vaporeon - Either Kairi or Namine needed to be vaporeon. Vaporeon is one of my favorite pokemon and Namine is my favorite KH character, so there ya go. Figuring out what to do with her hair and head fins was tricky tho

Xion, Umbreon - Fits with her hair color and darkness, nobody of a nobody theme

Xemnas, Mega Mewtwo X - Got rid of my no legendaries rule for the final boss. Mega X since Xehanort basically comes in three parts (Master Xehanort, Xehanort's Heartless, Xemnas) Xemnas is mega X because if I remember right he seems to be more of an in-your-face-physical type attacker than Heartless and also because of that armored knight form he takes at one point

Xigbar, Noivern - A bat that can hang upside down but still has "hands" to shoot with

Xaldin, Pidgeot - Birb for obvious reasons. Also one of the easier birbs to put dreads on

Vexen, Weavile - Ice/dark type weasel

Lexaeus, Tyranitar - Large, powerful, intimidating rock type

Zexion, Zorua - Smol illusion fox

Saix, Lycanroc (Midnight form) - Literal werewolf. The hardest one to draw, surprisingly.

Axel, Typhlosion - Out of all the fire types, thyphosion just fits. I think it may have something to do with the spiky fire/spiky hair

Demyx, Buizel - Otters are cute and based on the pokedex descriptions buizel fit better than dewott

Luxord, Delphox - The hardest one to place, both then and now. Decided on delphox for the whole magician/wizard theme.

Marluxia, Lurantis - The "bloom sickle" pokemon. Also pink. Also this thing completely destroyed my team in Moon.

Larxene, Luxray - Electric cat with sharp claws to represent her knives.

And there you have it! I'm pretty happy with these guys though I'm particularity proud of how Xion and Axel came out. I may eventually do pokemon forms for the BBS crew, but I'm not entirely sure who would be what yet. Now who's excited for Kingdom Hearts 3.....to eventually come out....on the PlayStation 16.... xD;
